"Let's go outside sitting at this desk all day is making me bored." Tomura said he leaned against Dabi's room doorway. He had been doing paper work all day which made him want to pull his hair out. Sure Kurogiri helped him but it was still agitating and annoying. Tomura had to do it now that he was king.
He liked being king sometimes. He could do what he wanted without anyone saying otherwise. That was unless his people started a revolution of some sort and replaced or killed him. That's why he made sure to treat everybody nice. Or at least as nice as he could be.
Tomura hated the responsibilities with the position though. He had to do them he couldn't just drop them. Still when he was confined to his office he often found himself desperate to spend time with Dabi or do anything else. His desk was in his room he didn't want to step foot in the room that had once been All For One's study.
Tomura had given that room to Twice who was now the palace's official doctor. He said random things on occasion due to a injury of some sort. But other than that he was a good doctor. Knowing how reckless Tomura and Dabi could be Kurogiri had instantly consented to it.
Spinner also lived in the palace along with Toga. Toga got along really well with Twice. Tomura found it amusing they had all made a weird little friend group. Tomura could even handle Toga for long periods of time on his good days.
Tomura's room/study was right over the garden. It had been over a year since he had first met Dabi. Tomura had confessed his affections to the man one late autumn night when they were watching the stars. Tomura smiled everytime he thought of it. It was one of his favorite memories.
When he glanced at the beautiful flowers that had started to grow a few weeks ago he missed Dabi even more. That was why he was in his room instead of working on more papers like he was supposed to be doing. Tomura was never good at controlling his impulses. Kurogiri could scold him later for all he cared.
Dabi had also been able to see his family now. He still hated Enji he put up with the man to see his siblings. Dabi had even been able to make a weird friendship with Shoto. Dabi visited them about every two weeks or they visited him at his and Tomura's palace.
Dabi grinned he sat his book down on his bed. Tomura glanced at the title it was the one he'd first given Tomura. The one about the dragons. "I'd love to my dear price." Dabi said he took Tomura's hand. Tomura rolled his eyes but a smile remained on his face.
He walked with Dabi down to the garden. It was kind of there special place Tomura mused. They both laid down on the grass near the pond. Dabi glared at it for a few seconds before laying beside Tomura. Tomura had to suppress his laughter as he saw Dabi glare at it.
They didn't say anything they both just wanted to relax. Tomura did curl up against Dabi's side though. It wasn't cold out he just wanted to be close to his husband. It was still weird for him to think of Dabi with that title. Sure they had been married for over a year legally. Tomura only now thought of Dabi that way though.
"What are you thinking about?" Dabi asked Tomura he looked at the other man. "Not much I just find it funny how we're technically been married over a year yet we only like that recently." Tomura said he stared back into Dabi's eyes.
"Hm." Dabi responded he was to busy staring at Tomura to come up with a better response. He leaned down hoping to tell Tomura what he wanted. Tomura smiled he pressed his lips to his husband's. It was a slow gentle kiss.
They both ate dinner after that at the same time they normally did. Tomura kept moving his food around his plate. Dabi knew something was off. Tomura looked distracted he had something on his mind. Dabi was about to ask but he took a drink of his water first.
"Have you ever thought about having children?" Tomura asked looking up at Dabi. Dabi felt his eyes widened he almost choked as he swallowed his water. "What?" He asked shocked. None of them had never brought the subject up before and Tomura had just all of a sudden.
"Have you ever thought about it?" Tomura asked quieter looking away. He seemed embarrassed to be asking. "No I haven't why are you asking?" Dabi replied he was being honest. "I mean with the war done it would be possible..." Tomura said he cut himself off.
"I'll think about it. Not yet though. We haven't signed anything official the other kingdoms could still declare war. Besides, I'd like our marriage to be just us for a little while longer. No offense but most of it was us trying to rip each other's throats out." Dabi said he went back to eating like the conversation had never happened.
Well he didn't dismiss it Tomura thought happily. He would never pressure Dabi into anything he didn't want to do. But Tomura was glad he had even considered. If Dabi said no he'd drop the subject and never speak of it again. If he said yes Tomura would wait until the world was confirmed to not be at war.
Tomura was working tirelessly with Kurogiri to make sure all the kingdoms signed the treaty that would end all war as long as all the current rulers reigned. Tomura agreed with Dabi it wasn't safe yet for a child. He did want nothing more than to build a happy life with Dabi. They already had that and he'd be more than happy with just Dabi. It was his decision that mattered the most.
