Everything felt heavy. I couldn't move. My body felt like lead. And it hurt. Not like before. But it hurt. But not much. It felt sore. My body felt sore.
I tried moving. Nothing. My muscles wouldn't move. My brain told my body to move. Even a tiny bit. Just my eye lid. But nothing. I couldn't move. I couldn't move, but I could feel. The softness of something under me. A sheet? It felt like it. There was something else too. Something over my left eye. I could feel it. That eye felt heavier than the other. Like something was pressing down on it. What could it be? Then I remembered.
The sharpness of claws tearing down my eye. The pain of it all. The sting of tears meeting broken skin. Then the sharpness of teeth. On my neck. I could feel that now too. It hurt more than the eye. It hurt more than the rest of my unmovable body. It hurt all the way down to the bone. Which is how deep the teeth went. Down to the bone.
I felt one more thing. Pressure. Pressure on my right hand. Not a hard pressure. A soft pressure. I felt skin. The softness of someone's skin. Holding my hand. It felt nice. Then the person's finger moved. Up and down my hand. Up and down. It felt really nice. After all the pain.
I still couldn't move. I could feel. But not move. I could also hear. I realized. I could hear. The shuffling of someone who had been in one position for a long time. The sniffle of someone trying not to cry. The creak of a chair. Someone leaning forward. Or back. Then a voice.
"Shouldn't she have woken up by now?" The voice asked. A calm voice. A soft voice. On my right. The person holding my hand.
"She should be waking up any minute now. I promise. Don't worry." Another voice replied. This one also soft. A little bit higher pitched. And farther away.
"It better be soon. It's been hours already." The first voice murmured.
"These things take time. Her body needs to heal from the bite. She'll wake up soon. Everyone is different." A new voice said. This time. To my left. Their voice was soft. But underneath. It was scared and worried.
I had no idea who the voices were. They sounded familiar. Very familiar. But I didn't know who.
"How long was it for you?" Another voice said. Also on my left. But a tiny bit farther away.
"For me. It was only a couple of hours. Two or three at the most."
"Then why has it been longer? She should have woken up then." The first voice said. The one holding my hand.
"Like I said before. Everyone is different. She is taking longer than most. But she will wake up. Her body needs to get used to something new."
"But... she won't turn will she? It wasn't a full moon." A new voice asked. This one was probably the most high pitched. It squeaked a little bit. This voice was very worried. Very scared.
"That, I have no idea, Hermione. The bite definitely looks like a Werewolf bite. But, I have no idea what will happen. I'm sorry." The voice to my left explained. Hermione. I now knew one voice. Not the one who spoke now. But the one before.
I wanted to comfort her. To tell her I was alright. But I couldn't. I still couldn't move. Just feel and hear.
"I still don't get why he's here." Another new voice said. This one deeper. But farther away. And a little bit hostile.
"I'm her boyfriend! And I can be here if I want!" The first voice said. Boyfriend. Draco. Draco was here. Draco was the one holding my hand. I was glad.
"Still-" That voice started, before getting cut off by another voice.
"Let it go, Ron. He can be here if he wants."
