Avoiding and Ignoring

It has been about two weeks since the Astronomy Tower. I still think about it. When ever I have nothing else to think about. Which is all the time. Basically. I haven't spoken to Remus or Sirius. I've just ignored them. In fact. I've just ignored all four boys. I know shouldn't. But. I do. I mostly spend all my free time with the girls. I guess it's for the better? I haven't really spent anytime with them. Not a lot. I used to spend it all with the boys. Now. It's just the girls. It kind of worked out for me.

*Memory*

It was three days after the Astronomy Tower. I barely saw the boys. If I did see them. I would turn in the opposite direction. Most of the time. I would run to the Room of Requirement. So. That they couldn't find me on the Map.

"Hey, Aspen?" I looked up from my Potions homework. To see Marlene standing in front of me.

"Hey! What's up, Mar?"

"Nothing much." She paused. "You know. All of us girls haven't really hung out with each other in a bit. We hardly ever see you. How about? For the time being, you hang out with us girls?" She asked. Chuckling.

I thought about it. It would be a good way to stay away from them. "You know what? I think that's a good idea. I'll ditch the boys and hang around you girls. I could do with some girl time."

She smiled. "Great. When your done with your Potions homework, meet us in the Common Room?"

"Yeah. I'll be there soon. I'm almost done anyway."

"Great. We'll see you there." She smiled. And left the library.

I gave a small smile as she left. I hated doing this. Ignoring the boys. It's been three days. And I already wish I wasn't avoiding them. But. It was for the best. I guess?

I had just walked into the Common Room. I saw the girls sitting around a table. I looked over at them. And waved. They waved back. I started making my way over there. But then.

"Hey, Aspen!?" Someone called. I turned around. It was James. He was sitting in front of the fire. Out of the corner of my eye. I saw Sirius and Remus on the couch. They were both starring at me. Peter was in a chair near James.

I turned to the girls. "Help me." I mouthed. And walked over to James.

"Hey. What's up?" I had my eyes on James. No one else. I wasn't looking in that direction. I couldn't.

"Nothing much. Just, we haven't seen you in a couple days."

"Yeah. I've been busy. I've been studying. And today. I had to do Slughorn's essay. It was kind of a pain in the ass. Easy. But a pain." I explained. The essay part was the truth. The studying was a lie. One white lie wouldn't hurt me.

"Well. Now that you're all done. You can hang with us." James replied. Motioning to the other boys.

Before I could speak. However.

"No can do, Potter. She's hanging with us." I turned around and saw Marlene and Lily right behind me. Marlene put her arm around my shoulders. I smiled.

James looked between us girls. "Aspen? Are you abandoning us for them?"

"Yes. Yes I am." I smirked.

"Why?" I heard Sirius ask. I didn't look over at him though.

"Because, Black, she spends so much time with you four, we hardly ever get to see her. She's always around you guys." Marlene explained.

I laughed. "You're not wrong there. I haven't had girl time in months."
