The Run of the Wolves

My Omega

Ace's POV:
(During the run)

As I waited for the alphas to be released, I thought about that boy from the starting line. And I couldn't help but think that it was destiny that we were brought together

In all my 18 years of life I have never seen a male omega in our pack. But then literally the day I have to find a mate, he shows up like he was sent from the heavens. It was almost too good to be true

I watched as all the alphas were becoming restlessly while waiting. Some had even shifted so they could find the scent of the omega they were going after. But thanks to my increased alpha senses, I would be able to find the boy's scent pretty easily. Now all I have to do is wait for the horn to sound

{Time Skip}

Since the 10 minutes was almost done, all the alphas got ready to run into the forest. We all lined up at the starting line and and waited to hear the horn.

I started to come up with a game plan in my mind about how I was going to claim the omega. Omegas don't run very fast so I could probably catch up with him in about 15 minutes. Once I find him I'm going to be gentle with him. I'm not like these other alphas that won't even ask for consent before marking an omega. I treat omegas just like I would treat any other higher class wolf

I got into a running stance, ready to shift as soon as I crossed the starting line.

{Insert horn sound effect here because I don't know what a horn sounds like 😅}

I launched forward running full speed, I shifted into my jet black wolf once I was a few feet away from the staring line. Thanks to my increased speed, I quickly took the lead as all the rest of the alphas ran behind me

I instantly started sniffing the air trying to pick up on his scent. Then it hit me like a brick wall, a extremely sweet scent that consists of vanilla and coffee, definitely his scent

I followed the scent until it lead me to a large clearing in the forest. And there in the water was the omega, trying to wash off his scent

His wolf was the prettiest thing I have ever seen.  He had a pure white fur coat that was littered in spots,almost like a dalmatian. He was quite smaller then me but that just made him more adorable

I watched as he got out of the water and continued to run deeper into the forest. I could have claimed him right now but that would probably scare, and that's the last thing I wanted to do. So instead I followed him, making sure to keep some distance between us so he couldn't smell me

As I followed him I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. I sat and waited while the omega killed a rabbit and ate it, and once he was done I would revel myself. But as I was about to walk out of the bushes, a growl broke there the once silent forest making the omega to be on edge

Just then a gray wolf pounced on him, pinned the omega to the ground. It took everything I had to suppress the growl that was in my throat, threatening to escape.

The alpha sniffed the omegas scent gland and you could see the lust contained in his eyes. He was going to try and mark the omega

But just as I was about to jump in a attack the other alpha, the omega managed to push him off and get out of the position he was in. While the alpha was startled, the omega made a run for it

Unfortunately he didn't make it that far before a yelp escaped his lips as the alpha crushed the omega's leg in his jaws. The omega whimpered in pain as the alpha got back on top of him and leaned towards his scent gland

But I was not about to let some alpha mark MY omega

I attacked the alpha, ripping him off my omega, giving the omega just enough time to get out of the way. I was much larger than the other alpha so this fight was going to be easy

I tackled the other alpha, pinning him to the ground. He desperately tried to claw at the legs to try and get me off of him, but he stopped once I let out a low growl. This forced him into submission, he had lost the fight

Once he stopped struggling, I released him and watched him scurry away. Serves him right for messing with my omega

Speaking of the omega, I noticed he was now on his feet and trying to run away. Poor baby, that must be very painful for him due to his injured leg.

I walked up to him and blocked his path, trying to examine his leg. But instead he started to back away from me and I can't lie, this kinda hurt me a little

I kept walking closer to him as he backed away until his back was to a tree. Then he started growling at me, but I could tell the there was fear concealed beneath those growls. But I didn't want him to fear me, I wanted him to think of me as a person that would always protect him

So I would have to show him I'm not going to hurt him the the other alpha did

I lowered myself towards his injured leg to see the damage. It appears that the alpha had completely snapped his leg bone in half. As I continued to examine his leg I heard whimpers of fear escape the beautiful omega

But those whimpers stopped as soon as I started licking the wound. I've heard when an alpha licks an omega's injury, it can help ease the pain. And this seemed to be true because I saw the omega physically relax when I did this

The omega picked up his head to look at me, and when he did this I had one of the best ideas ever for making this omega fall for me

I am going to properly court him. This would show him that I care about he so much that I would go through the trouble to court him

While the omega was looking at me I leaned in and placed a gentle lick on his muzzle. Soon a blush spread across his face, even though it was mostly hidden by his fur it was still noticeable

I smuggled up against his furry body lovingly and made sure not to touch his injured leg so I wouldn't scare him

He looked up into the sky, probably just noticing that it was already almost dark. My plan was to bring him back to my house once he fell asleep. This would allow me to court him easier

But instead of staying in our current position, he tried to leave, probably thinking he could just leave since I didn't mark him. This made my wolf a little mad so I couldn't help but release a possessive growl

This caused him to lower himself back on to the ground. This made my wolf happy which caused my tail to start wagging uncontrollably. This kinda surprised me because I rarely wag my tail unless I'm extremely happy... or aroused ( sorry I  was dared to put this in 😅)

The omega seem to except the fact that I was mot going to let him leave, so he just rested his head on the ground. This made me even more happy because he was finally excepting my presence

I decided that I might as well get some rest before I take my beautiful omega home. So I rested my head on his neck. He was shocked by my action at first but soon laid his head back down and began to drift off to sleep

But just before he closed his eyes, I licked the nape of his neck where my mark would go. I can't wait to claim this boy as mine

'Sleep well my precious omega'
