The Run of the Wolves

Noah's POV:

The Run of the Wolves ended four hours ago and Kai still hasn't returned home. I'm starting to get a little worried, he always comes home right after he finishes the run

{Mini Time Skip}

It was almost midnight now and he still wasn't home so I decided to go and look for him. I hope he was ok, he's been my best friend since birth so I wouldn't be able to live with myself if he got hurt

I shift into my orange wolf and start to run towards the forest where the run was held. Once I reach the forest the scents of hundreds of alphas and omegas flood my nose, causing it to scrunch up in disgust

I ran through the woods looking for any sign of Kai once being there. But I would have never expected what I saw

Ace, the leader of the pack's son carrying Kai in wolf form on his back. Ace and I have always had a decent relationship considering that he was the only alpha I would talk to while hunting with the pack

I watched him as he slowly walked towards the end of the forest with Kai asleep on his back. I examined Kai and saw a large bit wound on his leg, but I knew it wasn't Ace that did that to him. Ace has always respected omega and would never hurt an omega, or anyone else unless he had to

I also noticed that Kai did not have an alpha's mark on his scent gland indicating that Ace didn't claim him. But why wouldn't he, everybody knew Ace was gay and almost anyone would take the opportunity to claim a male omega for its value

Well whatever the reason was, it didn't change the fact that Ace has taken some sort of interest in Kai and was probably bringing him back to the pack house. When an omega is caught and or claimed during the run, the alpha then has full custody of the omega. This means that Kai would have to live with Ace from now on

I'm not going to lie, I'm a little sad about Ace taking Kai, I mean we grow up together and have been best friends for as long as I can remember. So of course I am going to miss having him around

But I also know that Ace will take good care of him and wouldn't do anything to Kai without his consent. Ace is a good person and is honestly perfect for Kai. I know the stubborn boy will fall for he eventually and knowing Ace, he probably won't give up until that happens

I sigh and head back home, the once comfy home feeling rather empty now without the omega. I'll just have to get used to this

I head upstairs to my room and lay down on my soft bed. I slowly drift asleep while in deep thought

'Be safe Kai, I'll see you again soon'

I know this chapter to short but I just wanted to do a different POV. But Tbh I finished this chapter yesterday and just forgot to publish it 😅

I'll try to get the next chapter out sometime this week
