Savannah POV

"Mommy wake up!" I felt tiny hands softly hit my head.

I opened up my eyes and looked at my clock: 8:30 am. I gently turned over and was greeted by the angelic face of my son, smiling from ear to ear.

"Guess what today?"

I acted like I didn't know and shook my head.

He face palmed and grabbed my face.

"Mommy its your birthday! You're turning 38!" He smiled gleefully.

I quickly sat up in bed and grabbed my cellphone. Thank God I enabled the Touch ID feature, I couldn't even remember my passcode at this point.

I scrolled through all my messages and clicked on Bennie's, I wasn't surprised on what he sent me.

" BITCH TURN UP! It's your motherfucking 38th BIRTHDAY! We going to the club and getting faded! We got money to make and ass to shake!"

I was shocked and disturbed at how he tried it, by saying I was turning 38. I'm turning 28 and is blessed to live an overall good life despite the hardships.

I decided to call the fool to see what else he had in stored for my birthday.

"Hey Ms. Thang, Happy Birthday Cookie!" He screamed into the phone.

"Thank you, shady queen!"

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Why in the hell would you say I'm turning 38, knowing damn well I'm 28! Hoe don't add any extra years to my age!" I semi-yelled causing Kai to laugh..

"Girl does it really matter? You already know how old you're and black doesn't crack! When you turn 38 your ass will still look the same boo." He said justifying his reasoning.

"Ok girl so today's plan is for you to first go to the spa, next go shopping and lunch, then get your hair and makeup done, finally go to the club. This day was planned and paid for by your Prince Charming!"

"So who's all going to the club?" I asked in a worried tone because I really didn't need drama on my birthday.

"It's basically going to be You, Ethan, Me, Jason, Nathan and his girlfriend."

After our conversation, I checked my other messages from family and friends and replied. Then I checked instagram and saw that Bennie made a beautiful post about me. I got a notification and a bright smiled appeared on my face.

"Today is a special day, for a special woman in my life. Savannah is truly a blessing in my life and has changed my perspective on love. I always thought that I wouldn't have found love, until I met her. I don't want to rush anything but I do love her.

Anytime I think about her, I just chuckle or catch myself day dreaming! She is truly a gorgeous, intelligent, courageous woman and I'm lucky to have her in my life!

Well it's your birthday and I want you to enjoy yourself! You always make sure that others are taken care of, well today it's your turn. Also tonight I will be giving you a "special" gift."
