Omniscient POV

"Look Bennie, I really don't feel like being bothered with your rumors tonight, maybe tomorrow." Savannah walked to the door.

"Cookie, the shit I'm about to tell you is very serious and its not rumors, all facts."

Savannah was very curious to what her brother knew. How bad could it be? It may answer some of her wondering questions about her "boyfriend".

She hopped on the bed and put on her glasses to read the information that Bennie saved on his IPad.

What she was reading was really terrifying and disgusting. If Ethan and her had gotten serious would he have brought up his past?

The more she read, the more she was furious. Not with him, but with his parents. They basically abused him and his brother throughout their childhood.

"Girl and there is more about your lover boy!" Bennie walked to his closet and retrieved a file and handed it to his sister.

"What the hell is this? Did you steal this?"

"No hoe, I used some of my *skills* to get this information."

"Ok, I really don't want to hear how you got it. What's in it?"

"More tea about Eminem's fucked up family and secrets."

Savannah quickly opened the file and was mortified at what she saw. There were pictures of the kids bruises. It seemed like Ethan suffered the most because on his back there were big welts, burns on his stomach, and cuts on his face.

A single tear slid down from her warm, brown eyes followed by another one, until soon a steady stream of salty tears flowed its way down her cheek, releasing the sadness and sorrow, but still she didn't make a sound.

Savannah couldn't believe what she was seeing. How could "parents" or anybody rather, abuse a child.

"Is there anything else?" Her voice croaked.

"Yeah, there was a file saying that Ethan went to the military for four years and came home. He suffered from PTSD, but with intense therapy he's doing good."

Bennie walked over to his sister and held her hands.

"Look Cookie, I actually like Ethan for you. Even though he's been through some shit, he hasn't let that stop him from doing what he needed to do to survive. White boy loves your ass whether you admit it or not.

Trust me, I see him everyday and every time somebody mentions your name his face lights up like a child on Christmas morning."

What her brother said made her smile. She didn't want to upright confront Ethan on his past, but she also couldn't ignore it either.

Savannah talked to her brother for a little while until she noticed that it was getting late. As she was walking to the door Bennie stopped her.

"There's something else that I have to tell you. Please don't get mad."

With a confused looked, Savannah asked "What is it?"

Bennie started pulling his fingers and scratched his neck. He usually does this when he's nervous or scared.

"Bennie what the hell do you need to say?"

"He-es out-tt!" He stuttered.

All Savannah could do was walk back to her room and lock the door.
