The Campbell girl's eyes widened at the sight of the large mansion in front of her. She couldn't believe this is where she was going to be living.
Most people would say that the house was beautiful. Scarlett however, couldn't help but feel like it had something dark about it. She didn't think she was going to like living in it.
"Here we are!" Robert smiled exiting the vehicle and moving quickly to grab her bags. "You can go on in I'll be sure to bring these up to your room."
The brunette nodded walking up the large steps that led to the front door. She was surprised that the door wasn't locked. You would think rich people would be worried about someone possibly breaking in.
Scarlett brushed away her thoughts pushing open the large wooden door. The entryway of the house was even fancier than the Campbell girl was expecting. Everything was white with some hints of light brown. Some of the furniture and molding had gold accents.
In Scarlett's opinion the home was very bland. There was no personality. It was nothing like her home growing up. Scarlett's mother loved bright colors and fun patterns. Every room in their house was a different color.
The teenager walked through the downstairs of the house. She heard the distant sound of voices coming from somewhere towards the back of the house. As she got closer she could tell that one of those voices was familiar.
Turning the corner Scarlett came face to face with Mercedes. She was dressed in a bright red dress with gold jewelry and of course a pair of black heels. Her long blonde hair was curled to perfection.
Scarlett felt quite mundane compared to her nicely dressed aunt. After all the girl was only wearing a pair of jeans shorts and a cropped tank top. Her beat up converse certainly did not compare the older woman's louboutins.
"Scarlett." Mercedes breathed out. It amazed the blonde to see how much her niece resembled her older sister. Scarlett was practically Lillian's twin.
"Hey aunt Sadie." The brunette smiled offering the woman a small wave.
Mercedes clenched her jaw putting on fake smile for her niece. She hadn't been called Sadie in years. That was the nickname her older sister coined for her.
