Scarlett sat in her room watching the rain pour down from the sky. Today was the big day. Hurricane Agatha had hit the always sunny Outer Banks.
The once blue and sunny sky was now dark and filled with storm clouds. The harsh winds shook the leaves off of the trees. Rain droplets pounded against the large glass window the brunette was sitting in front of.
While some people hated the rain and storms, Scarlett loved them. She thought they were calming. Scarlett loved listening to the loud and booming thunder. She'd get excited when she'd see the flashes of lightning light up the sky.
Mercedes was locked in her bedroom doing god knows what. Scarlett hadn't seen her aunt all day.
Not that she really minded.
Coming back after two years had really opened the girl's eyes to just how much her aunt changed. The new version of Mercedes was more secretive and cold.
Scarlett didn't like it. She tried to avoid her aunt as much as possible.

Waking up the next morning Scarlett looked at her phone to see a couple messages from Sarah Cameron.
The blonde girl had messaged Scarlett to see if she'd like to hang out with her. She invited the girl to a bonfire that was happening later that night.
Scarlett was bored and had nothing better to do so she agreed. There was nothing for Scarlett to do around the house. Her aunt already had people cleaning up the mess from the storm.
The Campbell girl threw on a white tank top that had little pink flowers decorating it. She paired the top with some jean shorts and white air forces.
The brunette figured that she'd just wear the same thing to the bonfire later because it was cute but also comfortable.
Robert was kind enough to offer Scarlett a ride to the Cameron's house down the road, but she refused. She didn't really mind walking. It was a surprisingly nice day out considering how big of a storm they had just gotten.
When Scarlett finally arrived at the Cameron home she was greeted at the door by Wheezie.
"Hey Wheezie!" The brunette smiled warmly at the young girl who let her in. "Is Sarah here?"
