The birth of the four princes gave a reason for Ayodhya, to celebrate for years to come. People of the entire kingdom knew, that the princes were always in a duo. It was Ram-Lakshman and Bharat- Shatrughan

"Bhaiya shatru won't give me my sword back!" says a whining Lakshman to Ram

"Laksh it's just a toy, let him have it for a while. I promise I will get one for shatru so he doesn't take your stuff ok?" asks Ram

"But bhaiya..." Lakshman tries to say

"Laksh please let shatru have it for a while. He is younger than you" ram replies sternly

A pouting Lakshman turns away and walks away from his brother. Ram is hurt by the actions of Lakshman, but he decides to ignore them.

Lakshman runs off to Kaushalya and says "bade ma! Shatru took my sword, and he won't give it back!"

"Lakshman, it's just a toy. I'll get you another one so Shatru won't take it ok?" Kaushalya says trying to comfort a clearly upset Lakshman

Lakshman states after listening to his Bade ma "you sound Exactly like Ram Bhaiya."

"Lakshman I am his biological mother, if he doesn't think like me who else will he think like?" Kaushalya asks

"Kaikeyi ma!" Lakshman states as if it was as obvious

Kaushalya smiles at Lakshman's innocent answer but she knew that what Lakshman said was true. Ram was more like Kaikeyi in some ways than others.

(Meanwhile in the courtroom.)

"Gurudev let Laksh, and shatru grow up a little more. They are barely 4," Dashrath tries to reason

Shaking his head maharishi Vashisht says "Dashrath, the younger they are the better. They learn faster, due to their developing brain."

Finally understanding he was trying to win a useless battle "two more moths Gurudev, let Lakshman and shatru turn 4 at least. I will send them straight after"

Maharishi Vashisht nods, happy that the King finally agreed.

The king walks to the room where his wives and four sons are to tell them the news.

Once Dashrath reaches the room Ram runs up to him and says "Pitaji, what's wrong? you seem upset."

Dashrath replies to his son "I was just talking to Gurudev just a while ago. he says that in two months after the birthday of our Laksh and Shatru you and your brothers have to go to Gurukul."

a pouting and whining Shatrughan says "I don't want to go to gurukul."

Kaikeyi says trying to calm the youngest down "Putra Shatrughan, you have to go, it is where you will learn everything, that a true Raghuvanshi needs to know ."

"what kaikeyi ma said is right Shatru, plus Bharat Bhaiya and Ram bhaiya will also be going and we both know that we prefer to spend time with them more than our parents," Lakshman also says

"I'm only going because Bharat Bhaiya is going."

the boys fought at times but they loved each other to death. after getting the news that all of them were going to go to school soon the mischief decreased a bit it was still there to brighten up the lives of their parents.
