A Family for us. [HAITUS] Beidou x Ningguang fic

Monstadt...HERE WE COME!

Ningguang woke up to Beidou trying to fix her bandage. Beidou gave up using her one hand, she resorted to using her mouth. Ningguang sat there, Beidou's cape draped over her legs as a blanket, trying to keep in her laughter.

Ningguang snorted, Beidou moved her head to find Ningguangs hand over her mouth trying not to give in.

"Tsh, you gonna help me or watch," Beidou said sloppy with her arm dangling from her mouth.

"I'd watch, but you look you need my help," Earning an eye roll from Beidou, Ningguang got up to where she was.

Ningguang helped Beidou fix her bandage. Beidou gave her a quick thanks and poured the rest of the water on the fire to further put it out. Beidou held her hand out to help Ningguang get up, she gladly took the hand.

Beidou grabbed her bag. She noticed Ningguang was not having a good morning.

"She looked happy earlier?" Beidou thought.

Beidou grabbed Ninggguang's bag off her shoulder. Ningguang smiled.

They continued till they reached the outskirts of dragonspine. They stopped for a little break, Beidou took out two water bottles for her and Ningguang. A small "thanks" was all that came out of Ningguangs mouth.

"You've been quiet, anything on your mind," Beidou said softly, taking another swig from the bottle.

"I'm ok," Ningguang lied, she was stressing about how Ganyu and Keqing were running the Liyue Qixing. Ningguang looked at the outline of the Jade Chamber, "I hope they're doing ok" she thought.

"I won't try and pry but, I can tell something is wrong. Are you perhaps, stressed?" Beidou questioned.

They both got up and continued their walk.

Ningguang finally spoke. "I've been worried about the workload that Ganyu and Keqing have. I kind of left without a warning and dumped it all on them," Ningguang fiddled with her earing.

"Come on Ningguang, it's Ganyu and Keqing we are talking about. Remember all the times you were sick and they had to cover for you? I think missing two weeks of work won't make Liyue fall, loosen up a little bit and enjoy this vacation of some sort," Beidou said grabbing Ningguang's hand that was fiddling with her earing.

Beidou and Ningguang continued walking till they got to the little adventure camp near dragonspine.

Beidou ordered two hot soups that they were serving and gave one to Ningguang.

"Careful, it's hot," Beidou said.

"Thanks."

As they were eating their soup, they saw two females holding hands. One dressed in red, with a bunny ear headband, the other dressed in a light blue. The pair made their way to Ningguang and Beidou.

"Hey!!" a cheerful voice called out to the couple.

"Hello there, may we help you?" Beidou said

"Outrider Amber, the Knights of Favonious. This is my girlfriend, Eula, also with the Knights," Amber said while violently shaking Beidou's hand.

"You must be Beidou and Ningguang, correct?" Eula said while looking at the pair.

"Grand Master Jean told us to come to meet you here, so we could get you guys through the gates of Monstadt," Amber says excitedly.

The two pairs get up and continue to walk, it was becoming night. Beidou could see the tiredness in Ningguang's eyes.

"Hey Amber, Eula?"

"Yes?" replied Amber. A simple hum came out of Eula's mouth.

"Do you guys mind if you took my stuff?" Beidou asked.

"Ah yes sure! Your feet must be tired from all the extra weight," Amber said while gabbing the bags, giving one to Eula.

"Thanks," Beidou said.

Beidou stopped Ningguang from walking, a droopy smile was painted on her face. Beidou slung Ningguangs arm around her neck, she also grabbed the under of her leg. In one swift motion, she picked Ningguang up bridal style and continued walking.

"Sleep, Ning."

Soft snores were heard from Ningguang. Beidou looked at her lovingly and gave her a quick kiss on the forehead.

"So how did you two meet?" Beidou broke the silence.

Earning a nod from Eula, Amber started talking.

"Eula and I became friends a while back. My grandfather took her in from the Lawrence Clan. She was neglected because of who she was. Her father-"

"My father wanted me to be this perfect girl. He put me in multiple dance lessons, taught me the Lyre, and so on. I wanted to run away, and be a normal kid, but every time I tried he found a way to get me. That was until I ran away when everyone was sleeping.

I found a tree, sat down there and waited for morning when I woke, I saw a shadow. He told me I had nothing to worry about. That man was Amber's grandfather. As we grew older, we became better friends. Amber would remind me how she's going to get people to see who I truly am.

It was up until dragon spine when we clicked. there was this big avalanche that came down." Eula spoke

"Eula saved me from it. After that, we took a nice ice bath to relieve some of the aching pain in our muscles, when she pulled me into her and kissed me. That's kinda how it started" Amber said, rubbing the back of her neck with a small blush.

The two couples continued their walk to the gates, sharing stories of their adventures.
