"Dad, what happened to me". A young redhead girl looked up at an older man who was clearly the girl's father. "I made you a special sweetheart. You're going to help us... Remember WCKD is good". He kneeled down in front of her to kiss her head before walking off.
A boy and a girl then walked in and they were happy to see her. "Luc, you're okay". The brunette boy ran up and hugged her. "Why wouldn't I be?". She smiled at him, making her blush at the boy she liked. The brunette girl was the next one to give her a hug, making the redhead giggle.
"I didn't die did I?" The young girl asked her friends to make them look at each other then back at her. "What do you mean?". The girl asked her while the redhead scrunched her face up and smiled at them. "Because Teresa, you and Tommy are giving me hugs after a test it's like you guys haven't seen me in years".
She made them giggle with her while they walked out to a different room so that they could go eat. The room was way big and had three chairs placed in one for each other to sit in.
The redhead and the boy she called Tommy sat next to each other while the call she called Teresa sat across from her. The pair that were sitting next to each other, held their hands under the table "Thomas why are you smiling?'. The brunette girl asked him to only shrug and keep eating.

When she woke up Lucy sat up in the hammock. Newt was still sleeping beside her. He looked so peaceful when he sleeping. Newt was kind, he was sweet he was charming. Everything a girl wanted. She hoped that the boy in her dreams was also like that. The kid in the dream looked to be at least eight but there was something about the boy that made her really happy to see. It was like she was whole again for a short time until she woke up and came back to reality.
She walk outside closing the door making sure that she didn't wake anyone and walked out. She didn't know what to do or where to go, the door was still shut so she had to stay. Lucy walked back over to the same spot she sat yesterday when she had run away from everyone. It was still dark outside so she picked up some rocks and smiled as she threw them into the water.
"Hi". An unfamiliar voice called out to her making Lucy look up unable to see his face. "Hello". He came walking over to their hair and sat down next to her. She look at him, he was a tall Asian boy with black hair. He looked like he was dressed a ready for a day of working.
"You must be the new greenie. I'm Minho". He smiled at her while she continued to throw rocks into the water. "Lucy". She smiled at the boy sitting next to her.
There was something about the girl that he loved. It could be her beauty, her sweet voice, or the way her eye sparkled with the little from the sun that was starting to rise. "What do you do?". She asked him noticing that he was clearly ready to do something. "I'm a runner". He responded when the maze doors opened and he got up.
"How can I become a runner?". She smiled and looked into his dark brown eyes. "I don't think Newt or Alby will let you become one". She looked back at the water with a frown on her face as she brought her legs into her chest hugging them. "I know I just want to help get out of here".
"Would you like me to walk back and have something to eat?". She happily nodded starving not having anything to eat before because she didn't want to. He held out his hand for her to grab it which she gladly did. They got up and started to walk over to where everyone was eating. Something about him made her feel nervous and little did she know he felt the same way about her.
He placed a hand on her back guiding her through the Glades. It sent butterflies to her stomach making her blush a bright red. The other Glader watched as they walked making Lucy uncomfortable. While she looked around she was getting self-conscious so she folded her arms over her stomach. No one was asking her about the thing she had on her neck and it was clear that Alby and Newt had talked to people and asked them to not mention anything. Which she was grateful for.
They walked into the area where everyone was eating once again all eyes on her. While she looked down at the ground while Minho led her to a table. She looked up and licked her and a smile grow on her face as she saw Newt sitting in front of her with an empty seat next to him. "Come on greenie take a seat". Newt smiled at her, while she looked at Minho who nodded his head and walked away from them.
"Where did you go?". Newt asked her as he handed her a plate of eggs and bacon which she gladly took. "I just woke up and went over to the water where I want yesterday". She smiles she started to eat with everyone else.
"Hey, I'm Jeff and the s Clint". A dark-skinned boy introduces him and his friend. "I'm Winston". Another boy smiled at her while she swallowed the bit of bacon she was eating. "Lucy". She smiled at that thinking about how she was making friends.
Chuck walked up to them and sat next to the redhead while he smiled and started to eat his food. "Where are you starting?".
"Excuse me?". Lucy look down at the boy who continued to eat while Newt spoke to Chuck. "He means with the job tryouts".
"You're with Zart this morning, gardening".
She hated the thought of gardening. The worms the wet dirt just everything about it made her hate it. "Yay". Her sarcasm was coming back to her as she rolled her eye finishing what she was eating.
Everyone was done and Newt waited for Lucy to finish watching her knowing he could just watch her all day every day. When she was finished the boy took her plate like a gentleman. She wondered if the boy that was in her dreams was like him. She hope he was she liked Newt she was seeing him in a different way than the other but it was the same with Minho. She wanted so bedlam to meet the boy who the young girl called Tommy and her friend Teresa and if they were even real.
She was snapped out of it when Newt smiled at her making her get up as they walk away. They walked over to the boy who was gardening with others behind him. "Here to drop off the greenie?". The boy who was clearly called Zart stood up and walked over to them. "Yeah meet Lucy". She turned to look at the blonde boy who was smiling at her.
"Zart". He held out his hand for her to shake, which she gladly did. Newt patted her back before walking away. "You wanna start digging a hole so you can plant some tomato seeds?".
"Sure". She took some seeds and bent down to a spot that was clear and started to dig.
Her hands were covered in dirt as she poured all the seeds in at once, not knowing what to do with them. "That's not how you do it". A familiar voice called out behind her made Lucy turn her head to see Newt smirking at her. "You do it then pretty boy". She didn't realise what she said until he grinned from ear to ear. "Shit". She mumbled.
He bent down next to her and finished what she had started while she watched him. It was like she could do that look day, his sandy blonde waving in the wind as hers does the same. "All done". He stood up and shook his hands, getting the dirt off them while she looked away from him, getting her thoughts out of her head.
"What's next?". She rolled her eyes and crossed her arm, licking her lips. Newt walked away not saying anything while she sighed and followed him. They walked back over to where they ate. "Hey, Frypan". Newt smiled at the darker-skinned boy who stood in front of them smiling.
"Hey, Greenbean". He dusted the flour off his hands. "Guess you're with me now".
"I guess, but you got a place where I can wash my hands?". I held my dirty hand up showing him while Newt walked away again.
