Another week had passed and no one had mentioned what happened to Lucy. She wasn't a runner anymore, but right now she wasn't anything not till a month after the accident. Minho, Newt and Alby had to help Lucy eat after she refused. all she did now was eat and stay in her. She became cold to everyone around her but they never once gave up, she was still recovering.
It was only Yesterday was she first spent the day out of her room because a new Greenie was supposed to be coming the next day which was today. She didn't really care about that, yet since being in the maze she hasn't cared about anything or at least won't let people see if she cares.
The once lively girl was gone, forever.
There was a loud beeping coming from where the box comes up signalling that the new Greenie was here. While everyone ran to the box to see them Lucy was walking back to her hut in the Homestead.
The sound of the boys opening up the box was heard as well as Gally jumping down it the box. Lucy was almost there when she heard Zart yelling. "We got a runner!"
She heard stories from Chuck about all the kids that had run into the maze when they first arrive because it was instinct. Rolling her eyes Lucy saw a brunette boy running for his life straight for the maze doors.
Lucy sighed taking a breath before chasing after the boy to catch up with him. Lucy pushed herself despite the pain in her leg and stomach as she caught about the Greenie tackling him. She strangled his waist as she held both wrists above his head to stop him from moving.
She could hear all the boys laugh while Newt needed to see if Lucy was okay with her having not fully recovered yet. The Greenie started to freak out. "Hey! You need to calm the fuck down, got it?" Lucy wasn't one for the made-up words the Gladers used so she decided to stick with the words she knew.
The Greenie calmed down a bit and looked at the redhead on him. Her green eyes peered into his hazel ones, her face emotionless very unable to read, her hair was red. She just looked too similar to him and it was the same for her.
"You good?" She asked and he just nodded as it was clearly enough for her to get off him. While other boys came over to put him in the pit Newt walked over to Lucy as she walked away again.
Instead of continuing her journey towards Homestead she walked in front of the maze doors. Newt was watching her as sat down. The redhead girl was in a void in her mind as she stared at the part in the wall.
The same thoughts that always ran through her head decided to pay her a visit right now.
