I was looking at the woman and back at Audrey she seemed like this was going to break her there was a family member she had never met in her life it would defiantly be rough on a girl like her.

"Do you know what I said?" Sophie said.

"Listen, Sophie right, Audrey just watched her dad be put in the ground and after a falling out with her dad she has become mute," I said.

"I see," Sophie said.

"Not only that I don't think you showing up here is a good idea as her family if you give me your number when she is ready she can text you but for now I feel it would be best if you leave," I said.

"Is that what you want?" Sophie said looking sadly at Audrey who nodded weakly.

Sophie gave me a piece of paper with her number and then she walked off she got into a car and had her very own driver I sighed and looked at Audrey that was looking at the piece of paper in my hand.

"You wanna hold on to this," I asked holding up the piece of paper and Audrey nodded.

"Hey the teachers said it's time to head back," Serah said as she came up to us.

"Okay," I said.

We got in the car and we were in the same positions and cars as we did on the way I got out my phone and sent a text to Jaz to tell her we were on our way back. Audrey still hadn't given us the okay to tell the rest of Sarah's roommates so we told them that there was a family matter that we had to deal with and Audrey only told us about it as she trusted us more. I was with Audrey in our room after we got back it was late so Serah had to go back to her room while the rest of us sat with Audrey as we helped her fall asleep. The next day I had a meeting during the lunch hour with Jaz and Holly as she did agree to help with her dyscalculia and she was getting better but I fared it wasn't fast enough.

"So you need to carry over the one from this and add it to the number that you get from adding these numbers," I said.

"It also helps if you right it under here to remind yourself," Holly said and I nodded.

"I see that does help," Jaz said.

"Right now you work on this while I take some notes for my next class," I said as I handed her a sheet of paper with a few problems I had prepared for her.

"Hey, guys guess who is well trained enough to be let to walk around on a lead" Nova said as she came in with Dash close behind.

"Hey boy, how you doing," I said as dash hopped up on the chair next to me.

"He was running around the room like he was on some serious drug so I took him out for a walk around the school" Nova said as I ran my fingers through his fur up and down his sides.

"I can image, it was also super nice of the teachers to pay for his food and whatnot," I said as scratched him behind the ears.

"Hey you seen Audrey today," Nova said.

"Not since this morning, she got any classes today," I asked.

"Not that I'm aware of but she wasn't in the room when I woke up," Nova said.

"You know where she went boy," I said and Dash just gave me a bark.

"Well," Holly said.

"Not sure, look I'm not worried I mean where could she have possibly gone," I said.

"I don't know in her situation she may not be thinking a hundred per cent rationally," Nova said.

"Is this all to do with that family matter that Audrey took you guys to help with?" Jaz said.

"Yeah has she told you about it," Nova asked.

"No I mean I know that Audrey doesn't talk much in the first place but me and her have never actually talked one on one," Jaz said.

"Well sorry but if she doesn't want to tell you then we have to respect that," I said.

"It's cool," Jaz said.

I got back to my room and smiled when I saw Audrey she was on the sofa and she had a happier look on her face she was on her phone and she was texting someone intensively.

"Hey Audrey who are you talking to," I said and Audrey pointed to the piece of paper with Sophie's phone number on it.

"So you are talking with her," I said.

Audrey gave me a nod.

"So what's she like," I asked.

Audrey showed her phone screen to me and I scrolled through the messages and surprisingly Sophie was 100% okay with Audrey's sexuality not only that she had a son that was also gay.

"She seems nice," I said.

Audrey nodded.

"You know that without your dad she is now technically your legal guardian," I said.

Audrey looked at me and then looked back at her pone deep in thought before writing something in her notebook which I noted had almost run out of pages might be time I got her a new one. Audrey turned the notepad to me and she said that she wasn't ready to leave us all and was afraid of going to live with this woman she had never met which I nodded at.

"Look you don't have to leave legal guardian or not to forcefully remove you from this school to a woman against your will I doubt the idea of doing so without asking you would ever cross the teacher's minds," I said.

Audrey hugged me as if to say thank you she broke away and took something else down in her pad and turned it to me it was about her father and how he had basically stolen a past that she might have enjoyed from her. I understood what she ment how denying the existence of the woman he was seen as the only legal guardian of her and that she had no choice but to endure what he put her through. I sat with her there and told her all the reasons I could think of that would make her feel better I was always told I could easily cheer others up so what better time to see if that was true. Audrey was looking better and she did smile a few times but I know better than most that grief takes time to be healed and that the sadness may never fade but can be dealt with.

I got up and told her that she should get some food we headed into the kitchen and I helped her to cook one of her favourite meals it was a rice dish with a vegetable curry and it was delicious.
