"Come on Miranda... we are going to be late." Ben yelled from the stairs.
"I'm coming, is that anyway for you to talk to your very pregnant wife." She challenged finally emerging from their bedroom.
"Yes when she is constantly making us late for things."
"I'm sorry that your baby is sitting on my bladder so I have to urinate a lot." Miranda snapped.
"You look beautiful honey." Ben responded changing the subject while looking her up an down.
"Save it." She said mushing his face.
"It's my intern mixer. I have to make a good impression on the attendings."
"I'm the only attending you need to make an impression on hell the other ones we're at our wedding."
"I know, but-'
"I'm just joking, slightly. Let's go and don't forget the artichoke dip. It's Webber's favorite."
"Copy that."
Miranda and Ben walked into the hospital and they took the elevator up to the correct floor. They stood on the outside of the door and Miranda fixed his tie.
"Go and have fun. I'm going to sit with my friends and you mingle." Miranda said seriously.
"You don't want to sit with me." Ben said surprise.
"It's your night to meet and talk to the people you are going to be working closely with for the next four years. I don't want them to hold back or not talk to you because you're married to one of their bosses/superiors."
Ben nodded understanding, but he wanted these people to know his wife.
"Okay, but it doesn't mean I'm going like it. Who's going to look after you. To get up and get your food or drinks, pull out your chair etc."
Miranda gushed at him he was so sweet and thoughtful. "I can manage tonight."
"Mm." She whined poking out her lips. Ben kissed her lips heavily sucking her bottom one into his mouth.
"Mmm damn." Miranda moaned. "Don't do that or we will be going home."
Ben chuckled at her and pecked her lips one more time.
"Alright." He nodded before walking inside and setting the big bowl of dip and chips with the other items on the table.
"Bailey." Webber greeted.
"Hey it looks nice in here." She complimented looking at the tables, centerpieces, balloons, and flowers.
"Thank you." He nodded taking credit.
"This is Kepner’s work." Miranda acknowledged looking at it.
"Yep. She's got a gift for decor."
"You could have asked me."
"You're with child."
"With child, but not handicap. I can still move. Your starting to sound like my husband." She said rolling her eyes.
"I'm your work husband. I think husband husband and work husband need to stick together." He avowed.
"I think you both need to not get on my nerves." Miranda seriously. "Where is everyone? Kepner’s the only one here."
"Late and across the street at Joe's."
"It's almost time for your speech." Miranda murmured.
"I know."
