Years passed as their little girl grew more and more like her mother. Jenny would bring Ella everywhere when she was still just a baby to the village where everyone who helped Jenny got to watch Ella grow as well. It was as if everyone there was just one big family.

"She has grown so much Jenny."

One of the mothers said.

"I feel like it was only yesterday she was born. Thank you again for coming to help."

"You thank everyone every day hun. We're not the big city but we all come together when needed. You've done more to help us though since you and your husband moved here."

"I lived in a small village like this when I was little. The community was big over there and I like to help when I can."

They watched the children play and Ella just laughed being a free spirit like her father. She was fearless and has always climbed trees since she could walk. But her mind was all her mother's. She was always dreaming and believing in things that others would laugh about.

"Mommy look, I caught a butterfly."

"Gently darling, wow it's very pretty."

Ella opened her hand and watched it fly away.

"I wish I could fly, it would probably feel so freeing."

Jenny just smiled at her little girl remembering having the same thought around her age.

"I told my mother that once. She said if you believe hard enough and just have a little faith, trust, and pixie dust then you could fly."

"Have you ever seen a pixie mother?"

"I haven't my darling but who's to say that they aren't real."

They were walking back home just talking about pixies and other magical creatures.

"Maybe your father will tell you some stories about what he's seen."

James had been around more places than Jenny but his whole life was about stories. He's going to have to childproof his story a bit but as he says,

    "They are all true."

"Do you believe this stuffy mommy?"

   "Why wouldn't I?"

"Well, Billy said that these creatures aren't real and just made up by grown-ups to trick little kids."

"Every story comes from somewhere but I believe in it all. Why not? Just because I haven't seen one yet doesn't mean they aren't there."

Walking home they spotted a small animal on the ground. It was hurt and would die if they left it alone. But little Ella rushed over to pick it up. It was a small mouse and barely moving.

    "You poor little thing."

She looked around for its family but didn't see any other little creatures around. Ella ripped a small part of her dress and wrapped it around the little mouse carrying it back home.

"I just want to nurse him back to health. He's so little and hurt mother, I couldn't just leave him."

Jenny just smiled and nodded to her daughter. She cared for all animals around and some of them have stayed around after Ella has cared for them. They had a small farm and barn before Ella but James had to build a bigger one for all the animals Ella kept bringing home.

Ella was bandaging the little mouse whispering comforting words.

"You're now safe little guy, I'll get you better."
