I have the perfect brain.
I utter the perfect words.
I can function in the most perfect way.
I can do anything I set my mind to.If you're not like me,
you're not enough for me.
Stupid. Idiot. Sp*d. Ret*rd.
I might not say those words,
but I'll still make you feel disregarded.
Suggest and maybe force you into captivity if you struggle enough,
and make everyone think that you're being protected.
"We're just trying to help you."Imagine the things I can do when you're locked up:
Take away things that help you cope
like the fidget from your backpack,
and your noise-canceling headphones.
"We just don't want you to hurt yourself or others."Lock the doors,
but leave a crack open for hate.
Everyone won't believe you anyway,
they'll just think you're crazy
and make you think you should have stayed.
"We're just trying to help you..."Oh, you're so naive!
If you manage to avoid the prison I built-
I'll stigmatize your brain.
People will think it's a separate sickness
that controls you-
that doesn't define you.
I don't care if it's the thing
that gives you life,
"I only want to support you."Make sure to follow the expectations to get a good education,
can't function because of them, that's unfortunate.
I'll keep the (Typical) expectations and
make you and your parents work for scraps.
Don't forget prison is there if you need it!
If you have a meltdown, it's your fault.
If you have a meltdown, you're dangerous.
Haven't had a history of violence, oh well!
Protect the kids and call the police!
It's our right to safety, our education. After you graduate,
serve your country through employment
but if the employer thinks you're "unfit"-
your contract, I'll allow them to destroy it.Even if you can't keep up,
even if you are dealing with a lot-
there are plenty of jobs out there.
Just make sure to do the work next time
and that you can feed yourself,
your family and your children.
I'm sure you can find something fair.Don't forget that you're dangerous,
Don't forget that you're stupid,
Don't forget that Typical will never love you.
Don't forget we're here to support you.
Oh, and you are perfect the way you are! We'll give you accommodations,
we'll give you extra support,
we'll make sure you're (Typically) healthy and happy-
and support your way through therapy (if you can afford it).
I want you to just be like me!
You can do anything you set your mind to,
and if you can't...I mean, we're just trying to help you (be more like us).
You know we adore you and
think it's so inspiring how successful you have gotten,
you've really have gotten so far!
Just don't forget that sometimes life isn't fair
and you will be remembered in our hearts.
"We really do care about neurodiversity,"
but only if the neuroTypical scripts
can be a replacement for your heart.
