Session two

"Let's begin." Allison says awkwardly. The events from last night playing on repeat in her head. But she tried to stay professional for James' progress.

Allison waited patiently as James readjusted his position on the couch. He was still anxious but not like their last session. He was way more comfortable talking with Allison about his feelings than the last time.

"How are you feeling today, James?" Allison continues as she opens her notebook.

"I don't know? I feel a lot at once." James replied as he placed his back against the couch.

"Try to explain if you want." She suggests as she crosses her leg on the other.

James took a deep breath, "I feel anxious, because I still find it hard to talk about my feelings and experiences. But I'm also feeling relieved that on the other side I feel a little more comfortable talking to you than last time."

Notebook:

Has a lot of mixed feelings:

Still anxiously about talking about his feelings & experiences but made progress because he feels a little more comfortable than last time.

--> James opens up more and starts to tell how he feels about situations.

James continues, "I also feel relieved on the fact that I know you don't have to go home if I would do this session."

Notebook:

Feeling relieved that I wouldn't leave him again as soon as he did the session

--> James appreciate my help and he starts to realize that he needs help

"Do you feel like you're doing these sessions for yourself or has there to be a reason why you do them?" Allison wonders out loud.

"Maybe both? I don't know." James replies while lifting his shoulders up.

Allison knew they couldn't be honest and professional on this question so she just changed the subject.

"Do you feel like you made some progress, James?"

"Yes, I think so. I don't feel so angry anymore as before and I think that's a good thing." He admits.

"Why do you feel like it's a good thing?" She pushes further on this subject.

"Isn't it?" James asks, confused.
