A few minutes earlier they were talking about drea and how it wasn't her fault for his death or her Elijah's suicide.
He looks at her and realizes every picture they had taken recently that summer she was always wearing long sleeves no matter how hot it was. She always winced in pain when he grabbed her hand or wrist so while they were talking he asked to see her arm and rolled the sleeve up to find cuts. intentional cuts on her hands, wrists and arms all the way to her elbow.
She immediately ripped away from her husband's grasp and ran away to the bathroom.
Penelope's P.O.V. I rush to the bathroom crying and grab a knife I had managed to hide from my husband and kids. I then start frantically cutting my wrists and arms till blood is dripping onto the floor as I do so my head
starts to consume me in intrusive and suicidal thoughts. After a few minutes of that, I am whipped out of my thoughts by my husband Jose who is frantically knocking on the door asking me if I was ok.
I, of course, believing the thoughts yell GO AWAY and after that, I pass out a knife in hand. Before I am out I hear Jose panicking calling out my name and I hear the door being broken down.
Jose's P.O.V. As I rush after Penelope I hear her saying things as if someone is there things like 'no that's not true or 'he won't abandon me' or ' please stop' I of course am very concerned for my wife and ask if she Is ok she yells go away and that's when I heard a thud coming from the bathroom.
I call out her name saying are you okay or do I need to come in there. And no response so I broke the door down and saw her lying there unconscious lying beside the bathtub with blood dripping down her arms. I call out to our oldest Sofia asking her to call the ambulance.
