Chapter 20

I put a bag of popcorn in the microwave and turn it on. Tonight Zoe, Joe and I were going to have a movie night.

Joe was released from hospital late in the afternoon so we decided that he should stay with us so that he couldn't get into any trouble with Caspar.

We weren't entirely sure which movie we wanted to watch because we all had different tastes in movies.

Zoe liked romantic, or Disney movies.
Joe liked scary or comedy movies.
I liked movies with lots of action.

'Well is there any movie that includes all of the things we like?' Zoe asks me as she brings some blankets out into the loungeroom.

'I don't know,' I say thinking as hard as I could until the beeping noise of the microwave interrupted my thoughts.

We end up watching Frozen, mainly because Zoe persuaded us.

During the movie I snuggled up on the lounge next to Joe, and at one point he gave me a little peck on the cheek.
