Chapter 14

On the way we sung along to some songs on the radio.

We pulled up in the parking lot near Nandos, and Joe quickly jumped out of the car and opened my door for me. I was surprised at how quickly he had gotten to my door.

We ordered our meals of chicken (like what else should you eat in Nandos!?) and ate it then we drove back home.

Later that night, I went to close the door behind me to have a shower and get changed, when I heard Something smash.

What had the sugg done now! I ran through to the kitchen, where the sound was coming from, and I saw Joe with a smashed plate on the floor and his foot bleeding.

'Ow,' he whimped painfully.

'I'll get some paper towel and take you to the hospital,' I frantically searched for the paper towel and handed it to him.

Joe half limped to the car and I drove him to the hospital. We were waiting in the waiting room for about 2 hours before someone came and helped Joe into a room.

While I was waiting for Joe to come out, I rang Zoe and Alfie and told them what had happened.

'Hey, are you ok?' said a voice that wasn't familiar.

I looked up to see a really hot guy with bright green eyes, wait what was I thinking?

'Yeah,' I say quietly.

He sat down in the seat next to me. 'Who are you waiting for then?'

'Um, my friend, he cut his foot open,' I say trying not to look into his eyes.

'Hmm, so it's a he? What a shame I was just going to give you my number,' he trails off, looking away.

I try to change the subject, 'Who are you waiting for then?'

'Oh me? My little sister just broke her arm and I had to take her here,' he smiles at me. I start to get butterflies in my stomach, but why?
