Wren's POV

My body was frozen and I was cold, where was I?I heard muffled voices from beyond something in front of me. As I hear a hiss I slowly open my eyes and saw allot of unfamiliar faces, I immediately pounced on the closest one and put my foot on his chest and brought back my fist. I didn't punch him but just stared at his gray eyes, looked at him and asked. "Who are you? And what are you doing here?!" The man cleared his throat and said. "If you get your foot off of me, I can explain." I looked into his eyes and saw nothing but truth but I was still hesitant. I kept looking into his eyes when I heard. "Wren!" I looked away from the man and looked at where the familiar voice was. "Allura!" I got off the man and ran to my best friend.

I hugged her and she hugged back. I was so happy my best friend was alive, she had made it out. "Allura, what's going on? What happened?" "I don't know how to tell you this Wren but we've been asleep for ten thousand years." "What?!" We got out of the hug and I looked at everyone in the room. "Coran?" He gave a little bow and said. "Your highness." I looked at the new comers and asked. "How are you here? What are you doing here?" The one I pounced said. "We don't know but we already explained everything to Princess Allura." I looked at her and asked. "What about the lions?" "The blue lion is here and has chosen a new paladin." Allura gestures to the humans and I looked at them.

There were five males. The one I pounced on had stood up and I said. "My name is queen Wren Stargazer of the planet arcane." "Whoa! She's a princess and your a queen, that's amazing!" The shorter one of all the males said excitedly, I smiled at that and said. "What are all of your names?" "I'm Pidge, that's Hunk, that's Lance, that's Keith and that's Shiro."

The shorter male, Pidge, said introducing everyone. 'Oh, He's names Shiro.' Allura looked at me and said. "Wren, i don't know how to say this but Zarkon is still alive."

I looked at her in shock and said. "What!?! He's still alive! After all this time." "Yes. I was in denial as well but Shiro was he's prisoner." I looked at him with pity in my eyes, I knew all too well about being Zarkon's prisoner.

After awhile Coran left and came back with food while Allura worked on the control panel. "Princess, my queen. You must eat, it's been ten thousand years!" "I'm not hungry." "Neither am I." "Man, ten thousand years? That's like one thousand plus ten." Lance says as Keith looks at him. "That's times ten." Lance glares at him and says. "Whatever dropout!" I glanced at then and rolled my eyes. 'These are the new paladins? Oh boy.'

Hunk rubs his stomach and says. "Man I haven't eaten since breakfast and I'm starving." Pidge looks at him and says. "Yeah but you've thrown, like, five times." "Mhm, good point."

Hunk grabs some food and begins eating some but shivers at the taste but continues to eat it.  "I can't believe your civilization created such advanced technology 10,000 years ago. It must have been an incredible place." Shiro said looking at the Castle in awe.

Coran smiles at him and says. "Yes it was...(loses smile) but now it is and we're the last Alteans and Fays alive." Allura starts to cry as I walked to her and hugged her, she hugged back as coran placed a hand on our shoulders.

Me and Allura's ear twitched as we heard a squeak, she got out of my arms and walked to the pod she woke up in, when she looked in she smiled and said. "Looks like we're not the last, after all." Inside was four Altean mice, I smiled at that that brought Allura joy.

We gasped when the alarms blared and a Galra ship appeared on the screen. "A Galra battleship has set its tracker to us!" Coran yelled in fear as Allura came to us with the mice in hand asking. "How'd they find us?!" "I don't know, but I bet it's Keith's fault." Lance said glaring at Keith.
