Endings

Someone asked me why I never read happy endings.
If I was honest, they'd think I was crazy.
Lock me behind cold metal bars that taste like blood.
The truth is, they're boring.
They don't make you feel.
You won't dwell on a happy ending,
wont think about it for days, weeks, months after finishing it.
A happy ending is a boring one.
So why do I want it so badly?
