Chapter TwentyFive : The Lucy Within

Lucy POV

As soon as I opened my eyes, I felt my body being pushed into darkness, the abyss surrounding me. Engulfing my being. I twitched my hand, fingers scraping across a distant cold palm. Zeref. But he was different. His warm, comforting aura had disappeared, and his past of grim energy returned.

I carefully twisted my head, Zeref walking me along the grass, towards a room where I could just see all my friends sitting quietly, Erza reaching for a drink from Kastile. I watched intently as she fell apart in his arms, gripping his chest.

Whats wrong with her? Why is she crying?

My mind was just completely blank. I don't remember a thing. I felt Zeref's frozen hand, his eyes cold. As he wrapped his fingers around mine, he leaned in, a dark voice entering my ear.

"Your mine Lucy. You always were."

It then hit me. I.....wasn't controlling my own body. No! But I was. I was moving my own legs and arms, but yet somehow, my own consciousness, my outward personality, had changed. I was stuck inside myself!

Before I could realise what was going on, Jeff shouted loudly, his fist turning into a metal, the punch going towards......Zeref!

Without thinking, I moved to the side, using one finger to stop his attack.

Phew! I just need to tell him to stop that and say sorry to Zeref.

As I opened my mouth to speak, a bewitching cackle bounced around my head, stopping me in my tracks. Out of the dark abyss around me, light blue hair broke free, a woman in a purple jumpsuit flying outward and circling around me, a mischievous stare lurking in her eyes.

"So your the famous Lucy Zeref told me about!" She said, laughing gently.

"And you are?" I asked, her feet finally touching the ground which I was standing on.

"Pandora. First Female Wizard to ever Exist."

I opened my mouth in amazement, the woman still floating around with a cheeky, confident smile on her face.

"Zeref, the one who planned all this, he's my older brother. The first Male Wizard. I'm sure you knew that."

"Ok, so let me go."

She stopped, landing in front of me. To my surprise, she pulled out a special blade, the tip glowing vibrant aqua.

"Listen here Lucy. Just because Zeref's my older brother, doesn't mean he's better than me. We're the same level in fact. Since I'm a nice sister with nothing else to do, I promised to help him out."

She lowered her sword, it disappearing before my eyes. "I'm controlling your body now Lucy. Thanks to me, your 5x stronger than normal. Be grateful."

I widened my eyes as I felt myself lean in toward Jeff, my stare cold.
"You're weak."

My finger pushed against his head, sending his body flying to the back of the room, everyone now charging at us. As Pandora was occupied controlling my body, I jumped her, aiming to strangle her neck from behind.

Surprising me, she stepped to the right, leaving me to fall stupidly to the black ground, the blue haired wizard giggling at the side.

"You think I'd fall for that? What kind of sister to Zeref would I be if I got knocked out by a physical attack?" She gloated, returning her focus to the charging lot.

Just as she was going to attack, I heard a familiar voice shouting out to stop. I fell to my knees, thanking the heavens.

Good going Wendy.

I could only hear faint mumbling, but I could tell she was warning them not to attack. I heaved a deep sigh of relief, gripping my chest.

Pandora put her hand to her waist, looking disappointed. "What? We're not fighting?" She whined. Soon she shrugged, turning around.

"Alright. I'm off to the Brain."

I jumped up, scared half to death."The Brain?!"

She wandered up to me, poking my forehead. "Yeah. And your here."

She slid her finger to my chest, smiling.

"T-The Heart?"

"Yes. The most secure and safest part of your body. As long as your trapped in here, you'll never get out."

I watched as a grey lift suddenly appeared, Pandora walking in with a smirk on her face.

"I'm off to the Brain. I'll really control your body there."

The doors shut, concealing her from view as the lift faded away. I still held on to the part she touched.

The Heart huh?

I stood up, determination overflowing.

That's also the place I'll be the most effective!
