Chapter Thirty : Too Late

Natsu P.O.V

I sat down silently, grinding my teeth with my fists clenched into tight balls. We all sat around the table, everyone's worried, looming gazes glaring right at me.

I payed no notice.

"N-Natsu..." Wendy started, starting to wander closer to me. Before she could rest a hand on my shoulder, I quietly said, "I can feel her."

Everyone now confused, I slammed the table, hard. "I CAN FEEL LUCY!"

Gray and Erza ran up to me, trying to calm me down. "Hey! Natsu. Chill out!" Gray said, now using all his strength to keep me sitting.

"No!" I screamed, aiming a punch at his stomach. He went flying, Erza jumping back with her spell ready to deploy.

I watched angrily as he climbed out the wall, wiping his mouth with a smirk. "You've done it now, flamebrain."

I jogged up toward him, before running full speed with fists flying. Suddenly, I heard a loud shout from a familiar voice from the end of the room.

"Jinx!"

As I looked forward, a puddle of water lay on the floor, my feet edging closer, and closer...

"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!"

I felt myself slip underneath it, body crashing to the ground. I fell flat on the wooden floorboards, back aching as Luna stood above me, removing her fingers from her forehead. She smirked, holding her hand out.

"You cooled off now, flamebrain?"

"Don't you start calling me that name too!" I whined, temper dropping. I grabbed her palm, sitting myself up. Luna lowered herself to her knees, lying beside me.

"Tell me more about what you feel, Natsu." I turned to look at her, her face giving me a confident wink with a smile. I blushed lightly, burrowing my head in my scarf around my neck.

"Natsu, please tell me more. I do have a bit of phycological traits as well. I'm practically a witch."

I looked up, everyone now looking down at me. I rattled my brain, trying to calm myself down from getting flushed red.

"This feeling..."

I looked her and as I did, she nodded to continue on. "It's like Lucy's really close. So close that I...we, could get her back."

Milli got down and rubbed my back.
"Natsu, I understand...but..."

"No! You don't understand!"

She jumped back, Sting gently tugging her back towards him. After I finished watching them, I glared back at the ground.

"It's as if..."

I paused, my senses now tingling.

"Natsu? What?!" Erza said. She could obviously tell I picked up something. Gray also twitched. He could tell too.

"As if...she's outside."

Everyone glared at me before I suddenly dashed towards the door, throwing it open as my senses led me. I felt myself drop as black remains of magic blew away before disappearing.

I fell to the ground, slamming it with all my might. "I was too late..."
