Chapter Seven : Settling In

I finally closed my drawer, the clothes packed up for the five night stop. I heaved a sigh of relief as Milli, my roommate for the stay, had also finished unpacking.

"I only unpacked one suitcase. You?" She asked, putting her arm over her forehead.

"Same. Don't want to take everything out at once. It is only a stop." I replied, standing up and pushing my other suitcase under the bed. I unlocked the door, wondering into the main lounge area for the penthouse.

To avoid any drama, all the boys sleep on one side and the girls sleep on the other side of the area. In the middle is the main lounge. There, we have a restocked kitchen and appliances near the back and closest to the window and wide out view with two large sofas and a coffee table near the front, not forgetting the extra flat screen tv. We all decided that for the first night, since the sun was going down, we would have a girls and boys separate sleepover.

I smiled at the thought.

I'd get to know all the nooks and crannies of all the girls secrets. It would be an electric night.

But first things first, settling in.

As me and Milli wondered out the our room, we headed for the kitchen, preparing for dinner. She tosses me and onion, which I chopped up in less than thirty seconds. I scraped it into the pan, cooking it slowly. I turned to her, who was mixing up butter, sugar and flour.

"What you making Milli?" I asked casually, keeping an eye on my onions.

"Cupcakes. What about you?"

"Just some soup. I think everyone will need a good three course meal from that trip!"

As soon as Milli poured the contents into the baking tray, the boys stepped out from their rooms, stretching their arms and talking casually. They landed on the couch, the Grai the only one coming to help with the cooking.

"Need my help Lucy?"

I shook my head, adding the tomato purée into the pot. I turned to Milli, who gave a thumbs up.

"No, we're good thanks."

He nodded before joining the boys, spreading his entire body on the sofa. Romeo came up to me, grabbing an apple and taking a large bite.

"Why do I have to go in the same room with that jerk Jeff? He thinks he's way better than me!" He wined, Jeff walking out with Wendy squeezing his arm tightly. They both laughed, while Romeo started burning up. I landed my hand on his shoulder, slowing down his magic build up.

"Not now Romeo. You need to calm down, because lately, Jeff's been saying the same thing."

He crossed his arms before sitting on a separate sofa, pouting his lips. I lightly chuckled, admiring his stubbornness. Next thing I knew, the entire room went silent. I looked up from my pot, finding the boys staring in fear to the left. I turned my gaze, finding a male with black hair and a dark top and shorts leaning against wall.

"My my. I didn't stop the celebration, did I?" The figure spoke, starting to walk toward the group. He then walked up to me, landing his palm on my hand.

"Lucy....." his voice spoke, deeply in my ear. Natsu jumped up, anger in his expression.

"Hey! I thought you were aiming for us!" He shouted, pointing an arrogant finger. I shook my head, telling him to step down.

"Don't Natsu."

The man lifted his head, his face revealed.

"Zeref!!!" The boys screamed together, their fear on overdrive.

"Yes. Yes I am."
