Where am I?

A beautiful cloudless sky filled the view above while the ground below was pure horror. To say the ground looked like the result of war was an understatement, this was a massacre.

Bodies lie scattered around, dry blood mixed with dripping blood, puddles of red liquid painted the ground. Craters of varying sizes contained fresh blood that looked like lakes. Bodies were mangled and disfigured, corpses were missing body parts. It looked like the work of deranged individuals, monsters from dark fantasy novels brought terror to this world.

If this was a dream then please wake me up. The smell of blood and corpses is so nauseating that it gave me a headache. No living organism was in sight as I traversed alone through this godforsaken land.

I flew a few kilometers, augmenting myself with mana and using wind magic to make a gyroscopic shield so I can lessen air resistance and travel faster in search of life. Cities were now in ruins, mountains flattened, crevices formed out, wild mana beasts fighting for their territories.

After flying quite a bit more distance, I spotted Xyrus, or at least what remains of it. The once majestic land near the center of Dicathen was now on the ground, in ruins. While craters kilometers of size with varying degrees sat. Wherever I went, there seemed to be traces of destruction. It truly looked like a scene from the end of the world fiction stories.

I soon stopped at a tree on top of a lonely hill, where there were no traces of destruction. Flowers field the fields while the lonely tree stood in the middle. I went to the tree to rest and spotted three graves with crosses sticking out. A cross, was there also a reincarnated one who survived?

As I've finished my thoughts, the moonlight shined down upon the nameplates of the three graves, one was unnamed while the other two were... Eleanor Leywin and... Alice Leywin. All emotions of worry was instantly dispelled, I then felt nothing. Eleanor, was she my younger unborn sibling? Is this the future?

No matter, the void consumed my emotions as I truly felt nothing, not even loneliness, it just felt...boring. There's simply no need for emotions when

Filled with nothingness, I wandered around down south to Darv where great desserts could be found. I once again augmented myself with mana and flew south, aimlessly. After about five minutes of aimlessly wandering, around thirteen pale-looking figures with black armor blocked my path.

They shot out deadly spells, like black fire, spikes, and poison at me as I dodged through the barrage of their attacks. Irritated, I manipulated the air around me and my attackers. I took away the oxygen and trapped them inside with me using violet particles shaped like a sphere. I brought the oxygen near my body but everything inside the purple sphere has no air. They tried breaking through the barrier to no avail while some attacked me.

I teleported outside the spherical barrier and let them suffocate from the lack of air. I've waited minutes and holding the barrier was tough. If I continued to hold it more, then my core would ache so I canceled the spell. All the pale-looking figures seemed to die of asphyxiation, but I couldn't care less. Just like them, this land and its inhabitants were weak, that's why they all died.

After resuming my travel, I spotted an oasis and stopped by for a drink. My body felt heavy and tired as my body dropped to the ground looking at the starry sky above. I felt hopeless and lost yet seeing the stars reminded me that whatever I'm feeling, whatever happens to this world is but nothing in the face of the universe. I then felt emptier, all my goals, ambitions, and plans for this world now lost amidst all this destruction.

What am I supposed to do, rebuild civilization like those world-building games? Like I have enough time and resources to even be able to make my thoughts a reality. Come to think of it, what caused such destruction?
