"Welcome home,love!" Taehyung said as he opened the door and let her through first
He didn't know why, but he was apprehensive about her reaction What if she didn't want to live there? Would that be a possibility?
Jisoo, in turn, was feeling out of place Everything in that house was new to her The dark marble floor, the expensive furniture, the large glass windows with an incredible view of the city None of that seemed to be real The only thing she found familiar was that wooden scent, which warmed her heart and made her lose consciousness
"Let me show your room It's upstairs."
Taehyung said while he grabbed her hand and leaded the way
"Are we not going to sleep together?" she asked confused
He stopped halfway and glanced at her with malicious eyes
"That's what you want, Jisoo?"
"No... I... I just thought if we need to make it look real..." she was embarrassed
"Believe me, you'll thank me for having your own room" he simply said and started to walk again
Jisoo couldn't believe that place would be her new room It was bigger than her entire old apartment There was a bathroom with an inviting bathtub and a closet full of new clothes and shoes
"Whose are these things?"
"Yours" Taehyung was standing at the door imposingly, with his arms crossed at chest level and a half smile on his lips
"That's too much, Taehyung!" Jisoo was truly shocked He walked towards her, stopped in front of her and held her shoulders gently
"This is your life from now on You can buy anything you want with a blink of an eye" he stared at her eyes and saw confusion on them
"You'll be on the spotlight, Jisoo You need to be careful with what you say, who you speak to The way you are going to dress, the way you are going to behave Everybody will be watching you"
"I'm not sure if I will fit in, you know This is not my world" she said shamefully and lowered her head
"I'll be by your side every step of the way" he stated firmly "Look at me I don't like when you're looking down"
She lifted her head and glanced at his brown eyes
"Your face is too beautiful to be hidden" Taehyung completed and brought his lips closer to hers
Jisoo closed her eyes, waiting for that touch with anxiety The kiss was calm, unhurried
Taehyung's phone started ringing insistently, which made him broke the contact and look at the display "I need to go to the office" he said dryly
"Ok... Do I need to go with you?"
"No I won't take long You can stay here and make yourself comfortable"
Jisoo nodded and he left right away
She decided to take a shower and walk
around the apartment to see her new home
After long minutes sat on an armchair, watching the view from above, Jisoo heard her phone ringing
"Hello?" she answered without looking at the display
"Sooya! You arrived in Seoul and didn't even let me know!" Jennie complained whining like a baby
"I'm in town for less than an hour!"
"Don't you come to work anymore? Have you taken on the post of billionaire's wife already?" Jennie mocked and they both laughed
"I'm going to work, I just don't know when yet I'm organizing my life, which is a mess"
"I see... Well, have you already sign the contract?" Jennie asked unsure
"Not yet" Jisoo knew that after signing that paper, she would be connected with him forever somehow "Why?"
"Ok.. I have something to tell you It's not gossip, it's just a newsletter for my friend"
"Tell me." Jisoo rolled her eyes because of her friend's drama
"Tzuyu is here She's talking to Mr.Kim" Jennie said quickly
That information let Jisoo stunned
She started to remember the call that Taehyung didn't answer His mood changed after the kiss and he left in a hurry
How long had they been planning to meet?
"Jisoo? Are you there?" Jennie asked worried
"Yes, I'm sorry I wasn't expecting it" her heart was racing and Jisoo started to hyperventilate
"I know, darling But don't worry, I'll keep one eye on them" Jennie tried to make her friend calmer
"Thanks for letting me know, Jen"
"I know you would do the same for me I need to go now See you soon, beautiful"
Jisoo hung up the phone feeling her heart tight So many questions were rounding her mind and she couldn't avoid them
Why did Taehyung still keep in touch with Tzuyu?
Were they having an affair?
Could it be that all those magical days they spent together on holidays were a lie?
Was she making a fool of herself in this whole story?
Jisoo needed to take something strong to stop thinking about those issues, otherwise she would go crazy quickly That was a luxury apartment, would definitely have a bottle of wine somewhere
She got up and started to look around On the other side of the living room there was a bar When she got there, she found out that under the bar island there was a cellar, with countless wines of all possible labels
"Of course He's a billionaire after all" she scoffed to herself "Well, if he said I should make myself comfortable, I can take this one"
Jisoo chose a wine and a few minutes later, she was back on the couch, waiting for her future husband
They had a lot to talk about that night
