Chapter Two: I Write Sins Not Tragedies
~Ari's POV~
The warm early Saturday morning sun shone brightly through the light peach curtains, making me groan in unsatifaction.
I sighed in frustration and got out of bed. I walked over to my suitcases and chose an outfit for today. After a quick shower, I quickly changed into my burgundy colored skinny jeans along with one of my You Me At Six band t-shirt.
I smiled and quietly walked into the kitchen, trying not to wake me mother up, but she was already in there with Jack.
"Woah, Jack, what are you going here?" I ruffled his hair as I walked by, which only made him laugh.
"Steven and Kate both had to work today, so your brother dropped Jack over early in the morning!" My mom answered and passed me a plate filled with food.
Homemade cinnamon buns with a bowl of oatmeal and some apple-juice. Yum.
"Gracias," I thanked my mom and began to eat some of the caramel apple baked oatmeal. "You make the best food," I grinned at my mom.
"I second that!" Jack agreed and ate his cinnamon bun.
"Mija, do you mind going grocery shopping today? I'll make you a list!" Mt mom asked.
"Sure, just let me finish eating this and i'll go!" I told my mom and continued eating.
"Oooh, may I come?" Jack asked and gave me the puppy dog eyes.
"No, you mister, are going to help me clean!" my mom playfully glared at Jack.
Jack fell for it and began pouting, "She's just messing with you. Of course you can come with me."
His face immediately brightened up and he began telling me he 'loved me so much'. I laugjed and washed my dishes.
"Is that all you need? Cool, we'll be back later then. Bring your soccerball Jack so we can play at the park!" I encouraged him.
His eyes widened and he ran out of the room, coming back a few minutes later with his soccerball that had 'Mexico' writen all over it.
"Go buckle up, i'll be there in a few!" I told him.
Jack smiled brightly and ran towards my royal blue Fiat Panda car. My mom shook her head and walked back upstairs.
I sighed abd walked out of the house, quickly locking it behind me.
"A-Aribella?" I heard Vic's confused voice.
I looked up from the door and saw Vic. He looked troubled, and .. sad? I don't understand. Why?
"Aribella, wait!" He shouted as I ran to my car.
I checked to see if Jack had his seatbelt on, before driving out of my mom's driveway.
Jack looked back, towards Vic, and then at me.
"Why did you run away?" Jack asked confused.
"Just in a hurry," I smoothly lied to Jack and continued driving.
He merely nodded and began to sing along. After a couple of repeated pop songs from the radio, we finally arrived at Walmart.
I parked the car near the entrance and walked inside the store eith Jack by my side.
"Ooh, can we get this?" he asked me with an adorable pleading face as he held a 'Mario Kart' DS game.
I laughed and nodded, "Sure."
He smiled widely an put the video game inside the shopping cart. Jack and I walked around the store for a while, just looking around, before finally finding all the things on my mother's shopping list. I payed for all the items and then headed back to the car with Jack.
"Hey Jack, you want to leave the groceries back home first and then go to the park?" I asked him.
He smiled and nodded in approval. I laughed at his childness and shook my head.
"Sounds like a plan then," I laughed along with Jack and continued driving back to mom's house.
Once we got home, Jack and I helped my mother put everything away. We hung out at home for a bit before leaving.
Jack was extremely excited to go to the park, he loved it there. I did too. It's one of the things that I missed the most about San Diego. The park was big, filled with happy people. The green scenery was also decorated with brightfull colors. It just made me feel ... happy? I know, i'm so wierd.
Jack and I were kicking the soccerball around, when all of a sudden I heard voices whom brought me back to reality.
"Jaime, stop being a dork. Vic, man up and actually try playing! What's been up with you lately? You've been acting wierd all day!" Mike shouted at his older brother.
My eyes widened and I looked at Jack with alarm, "Hey, how about some Ice-Cream?"
Jack's eyes widened and he nodded excitedly. I smiled at my nephew and picked up the soccerball, taking him to the Ice-Cream shop across the street.
"Erm, hi. Can we have a cup of strawberry ice-cream and another cup of chocolate ice-cream with gummy bears on?" I asked the guy at the front.
He nodded and began making our order. I payed and took our ice-cream to a booth near the back. Jack took his chocolate ice-cream from my hand and began to eat the gummy bears first. I laughed at him and shook my head, while eating my ice-cream.
"Told you Victor, ice-cream always helps!" Jaime cheered and took a seat on the booth next to mine.
I cringed back and tried hiding myself from them. I really did not want to see Vic again.
"Aribella? Is that you? Wow, it's been a while since i've seen you. I thought you said you weren't coming home until a couple of days?" Mike asked me.
I groaned quietly as they all turned their attention to me.
"Yeah, well, Bring Me The Horizon moved their tour dates!" I told him.
"Wait, how would you know?" Vic asked Mike.
My eyes widened and I mentally begged Micheal to not tell Victor the truth.
"Aribella and I kept in contact," Mike shrugged. "After all, we are best friends" Mike winked at me.
Tony and Jaime gave me sympathetic looks as Vic glared in my direction.
Shit..
I did not like the emotion Vic's face held. He looked sad, ... almost like if he had been betrayed. But why? He was the one who didn't keep his promise. I tried emailing him, texting, calling, writing, tweeting, everything! But he didn't. He never even tried to keep contact. He just left.
