Song for this chapter: Caraphernelia by Pierce The Veil
Chapter Ten: Everything's Not Okay
"C'mon Victor, hurry up!" I rushed Vic and put on my red coat.
"Coming!" He shouted from the living room.
I laughed as I watched him almost trip over his own shoes. He glared and took the car keys from me. I stiffled another laugh and followed him to his car.
"Dad's meeting us at the restaurant," I told him and put on my seatbelt.
He nodded and turned on the radio. Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen began playing. I groaned and switched the station.
Baby by Justin Bieber... noo!
Adele's Skyfall ... erm, nope.
Oh my god, yes.. Howlin' For You by The Black Keys.
"Ah, I love this song!" I smiled and began singing along to the lyrics. "I must admit, I can't explain any of these thoughts racing through my brain. It's true, baby I'm howlin' for you. There's something wrong with this plot, the actors here have not got a clue. Baby I'm howlin' for you!"
Vic laughed and parked the car at a fancy breakfast restaurant. "Alright, Aribella, I think we all get it. C'mon, your dad's waiting!"
I sighed and followed Vic inside the restaurant. A waitress came over and led us to a table near the back, where my father was waiting. I smiled over at him and he stood up to hug me. I hugged him back and then we all took a seat.
"So, how's it been?" He asked.
I smiled and shook my head. He's always been so straight-foward.
"It's been good. I'm not working with Bring Me The Horizon anymore though," I told him as we looked through the menu.
"Oh, really? Why is that?" He asked.
I shrugged, "Moving on, I guess. I'm modeling now, and i've been in a couple music videos with some other bands."
He chuckled, "You would."
Vic and I laughed and agreed with him. I would do that.
"So, how's he treating you?" my father eyed Victor.
I laughed as I saw Vic fidget under my dad's intense stare, "Dad. Leave him alone!"
The rest of the breakfast meal with dad went like that. He made jokes, teased, and had fun. I realized that I really had missed dad. It's a shame..
"Bye dad, call me later" I smiled and hugged hom goodbye.
Vic waved goodbye and then drove me down to where the Drop Dead photo shoot was taking place.
"I'll pick you up later," Vic kissed my cheek and watched me walk inside the building.
"Hey Tom, Oli. I missed you guys," I giggled and kissed their cheeks.
They laughed and gave me a hug, "We missed yer too!"
I giggled. They have such cute accents. Not everybody agrees with me, though. They must be insane.
"Alright, somebody come and help Ari with makeup and wardrobe!" Tom shouted.
Immedieatly a girl with a big afro rushed towards me and dragged me over to a station. She did my hair in a side braid and then did my make up. She helped me dress up in a new cream colored Drop Dead t-shirt that said Drop Dead and the A was a black cat with a pink collar along with some red skinny jeans and some maroon converse.
"Damn, girl. You make it look hot," Oliver winked.
I blushed and let Tom direct me where to go. He dragged me over to the green screen and sat me down on the top of the dark blood red couch. Oliver sat in the middle of the couch, and his new girlfriend took a seat across from me.
"Smile bitches!" Tom shouted and began taking pictures, moving around and taking them from different angles.
I tried to hide my laughter, but I couldn't, and I ended up falling off the couch. Oliver and Tom laughed, but Oliver's new girlfriend just rolled her eyes at me and ushered Tom to continue with the photo-shoot. Oliver stood up and helped me up from the couch, joking about how 'stupid' I was. I laughed and lightly punched his arm, muttering a sly thanks.
"Alright, that's a cut!" Tom smiled and everybody gave a round of applause.
I laughed and jumped on Oliver's back as he was getting up from the couch, which made him fall on the floor.. face-down.
"Ah, you stupid wanker!" He cussed.
I laughed and chasticed him for his bad language, which he only stuck his tounge out at. Tom rolled his eyes and helped us up. I waved goodbye to them and went outside since Vic was already waiting.
"I finished packing..." Vic stated as they stopped at a red stop-light.
I sighed and turned to look at the window, so he wouldn't see the tears in my eyes. I hated when he left, though I know he had to. It was his job, and it was something he enjoyed doing.
"I guess i'm going to have to call Sleeping With Sirens and tell them to babysit you on the road, eh?" I joked.
He laughed and shook his head, taking my hand in his. "Don't worry, Ari."
"I know 'Everything's going to be alright', I hear it all the time Victor."
I heard him sigh before he finally shut up, and didn't mention anything else. But that's okay, I prefer the silence over a stupid fight.
~Skip~
I smiled and waved goodbye to Vic, logging off Skype. It's been a couple of weeks since the boys left for their tour with Sleeping With Sirens, and it is now almost Halloween.
I'm so excited, i'm going costume shopping with my older brother and his family.
I quickly changed out of my pijamas and put on some cute floral jeans with an orange top and some black combat boots.
"Oh my, I love your outfit! It's so cute," Kate, Steven's wife, complimented me as I got inside their car.
"Thanks, I like yours too!" I smiled at her and greeted the others.
"Are you dressing up this year?" Jack asked me.
I laughed and nodded, "Of Course!"
