Chapter Fifteen: The Only One
"Today is extra special, so go change into something pretty!" Frenchie told me.
"Special? Dude, it's only new years!" I laughed at her and shook my head.
"Just go get ready!" She told me and walked away.
I smiled and walked into the closet, pulling out a cute black dress with some boots and adorable accesories.
I took a long shower and then changed into my chosen outfit. I did my hair and put on some make up, making it look natural but with some bright red lipstick.
"You look drop dead gorgeous!" Frenchie smiled and led me downstairs.
I laughed and we began to greet all of the guest. Jaime came up to me.
"Hey, Ari, meet my new girlfriend!" He smiled cheekly at me and introduced me to his new girlfriend.
She was taller than me, but just a few inches shorter than him. She had short, dark brown hair, and her eyes were a dark shade of chocolate brown.
"Hey, i'm Aribella!" I greeted her and gave her a hug.
She hugged back and we talked for a bit, before I noticed a sad looking Tony.
"I'll be right back," I told the couple, and then walked away.
I took a seat next to the Star Wars lover, and rested my head on his shoulder.
"What's wrong, kiddo?" I asked him.
He laughed, "Just because you're a few years older than me!"
I giggled and nodded, "That totally gives me the right to call you a kid."
"Shut up, Midget!" He mocked me.
I laughed and shook my head, "Are you going to tell me what's wrong?"
He sighed in defeat, and finally gave in, "Stephanie and I broke up today..."
I gasped in shock. Oh no, poor thing! I actually thought the two made a good couple.
"Why? What happened?" I asked him.
He shrugged and began telling me the story. At the end of it, I frowned and gave Tony a bear hug.
"Aww, it's okay. C'mon, it's going to be a new year, let's go and celebrate!" I grabbed his hand and led him into the kitchen, where Austin Carlile and Mike Fuentes were handing out drinks to the people.
"Hello boys," I greeted them and took a plastic red cup.
They greeted me with a Hello, and let me make Tony a refreshing drink.
"There ya' go, now drink it and go out and party!" I handed him the cup and then pushed him out of the kitchen.
Austin, Mike, and the others that were in the kitchen laughed at my antics, but Tony only tipped his hat, took a drink, and walked away. I smiled in satisfaction and returned my attention to the group of guys.
"Have any of you seen Vic?" I asked them.
They all looked at eachother, almost as if having an internal conversation with eachother, before looking at me with mischieve in their eyes.
"Nevermind that, what are you boys upto?" I crossed my arms over my chest and narrowed my eyes at them.
"Just wait five more minutes, i'll tell you next year!" Mike joked and sent me a wink.
"Ugh, fine!" I groaned and took a sip from Max Hellyer's drink.
"Come outside!" Frenchie smiled and led me out to the backyard, with all the other guest following closed behind.
"What's this?" I asked and looked up at the sky.
A plane was in the sky, and it began to count down.
5....
4....
3....
2....

Will you marry me?
"What?" I gasped and looked away from the sky, towards Vic who was now standing infront of me. He was kneeled down, and had a cute hopeful expression on his face, with a black jewerly box that held a ring with a big diamond. A wedding ring. Is he asking me to marry him on new years? How romantic <3
"Aribella Wendy Joel Mary Ashley Sullivan, will you do me the honor, and marry me?" He asked.
I fought the tears back and nodded my head, "Yes!"
He smiled, got up, slipped the ring on my finger, and gave me a long romantic kiss. I kissed back and smiled into the kiss as I heard the people 'Aww' and the flashes began.
"This is probably the best New Years i've ever had, you sure know how to celebrate!" I giggled as we pulled away from the kiss.
-The Next Morning-
I laughed and shook my head at my mother's antics. She had called me and woke me up at six am, obsessing over how I was finally getting married and blah-blah-blah.
"Mom, I have to go now. Vic and I are heading over there to San Diego to tell his parents the news, so i'll probably drop by your house and visit!" I told her over the phone and then said my final goodbye before hanging up.
"You ready? Let's go!" Vic kissed my forehead and held the door open for me.
I blushed and thanked him, before getting inside his car. He always managed to make me blush.
