Chapter Six: The First Punch

I woke up the next morning, surprised to see that I had two new text messages. Both were from Vic..

-Text-

To: Aribella

From: Vic

Hey, i'm sorry about earlier. I really don't know what happened... okay, I do. I just, I couldn't stand the fact that you've been talking to Mike. I really wanted to keep in contact with you, but everytime I tried texting you, or emailing, I'd always chicken out. Thruth is, I've had feelings for you since I was eighteen...

To: Aribella

From: Vic

Hey, you there? Nevermind, you're probably creeped out by my last text. Forget I ever sent it!

I gasped and quickly got out of bed. I changed into my blue skinny jeans with my gray Drop Dead shirt.

"Gotta go mom, love you!" I shouted and ran out of the house.

"Hey Mikey, can we talk?" I asked him.

The tall mexican looked up from his phone and down at me with a huge smile on his lips. He nodded and motioned me to continue talking.

I sighed, "Vic sent me this text!"

After a couple minutes of Mike reading the incredibly long apology text, he finally looked back down at me and gave me a questioning look.

"Are you going to forgive him?" he finally asked.

"I don't even know, I mean, I really want to. But then again, I really don't!"

Mike smirked, "I still think you have a crush on him. He likes you too by the way,"

"You can totally tell," I sarcastically retorted and shook my head.

Mike laughed, "Yeah. He's pretty bad at expressing his love."

I laughed and shook my head in agreement. "Is he in there?" I motioned to the house.

"Yeah, he's the only one in there. The rest went grocery shopping with mom." Mike answered and returned his attention back to his phone.

I smiled and walked inside the house. I found Vic in the living room, and I went to sit next to him.

"Hey..." I said to him in a hushed tone.

He looked up from the ground and waved at me with a sad expression on his face.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

He shrugged, "Shouldn't I be asking you that?"

I smiled at him and rested my head on his shoulder, "I'm fine. How about you?"

He sighed and looked down at me, "You don't have to pretend you like me, you know."

I sat up at that. What the hell?

"What do you mean?"

He laughed and shook his head, "It's fine. Nevermind."

I sighed and shook my head from the threatening headache. "Can we just forget about what happened yesterday?"

He smiled and kissed my forehead, "You are too good of a friend!"

I tried not to let my smile falter. A friend...that's all I was too him. I knew it was too good to be true.

"C'mon, let's go annoy the shit out.of Mikey!" Vic laughed and let me drag him back outside.

"It seems like you two made up," Mike laughed and winked at us suggestively.

"Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you have to say!" I quoted one of my favorite songs.

Mike laughed and shook his head.

"That's my best friend," Vic and Mike both said in unison.

The rest of the day was spent like that. We hung out, we ate a lot of junk food, and we packed. It turns out, that Pierce The Veil was also going to be touring with Bring Me The Horizon. Now I was really ecstatic about going on tour. 1) Tom is going to be there 2) I get to tour with all my friends.
