Chapter Five: The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You
~Vic's pov~
I watched Aribella get up and run out of my parents house, Mike stood up too and tried to stop her, but she just side-stepped him.
"Mijos, go out and clean your room. These two need to resolve their problems," mom told Jaime and Tony.
They nodded and followed her to the hallway. Mike kept quiet, but I knew he was fuming inside and was just waiting for me to say something so he could snap at me. I rolled my eyes at him and picked up my plate, taking it to the kitchen and washing it really quickly.
"I can't believe you'd say that to her," Mike finally spoke from behind me, but he was using a far-away tone.
"She deserved it," I shrugged.
He rolled his eyes at me, and began shouting. "No, she did not! But you know what you deserve? A fucking slap in the face for being so god damn stupid. I don't like fighting with you bro, but you give me no choice when you act like such a fool. Now, I want you to pick up your damn phone and apologise to her. You treat her like you don't care, but I see right through that, Vic. I'm telling you this as your friend, as your brother. Because I know that you still love her, and I also know for a fact that you don't really mean any of those things that you said to her. So man up bro and tell her your true feelings!" He me a sympathetic smile and walked out of the kitchen shaking his head in dissapointment.
I sighed and turned the faucet off. He was right, I didn't really mean those things. I really liked her, but I was just pushing her away. Grumbling to myself, I went to my room and locked the door. I took out my phone and flopped down on the bed. What should I tell her? I just hope it's not too late..
