Chapter Twelve: Raise Your Glass
Finally Thanksgiving! I'm freaking out, seriously. Mom is hurrying me up, and is making me cook the turkey. Bleck. So much hard work!
"Mom, why can't you just do this?" I whined. "Please? I'll make everything else!"
She laughed and shook her head, "Promise?"
My eyes sparkled at the opportunity and I nodded, "I promise!"
She muttered a fine and then left to go cook the turkey, while I cooked everything else. The salad, the bread, the cake, the cookies, the everything!
"Mamá, we all go to hell. Mamá, we all go to hell. Mamá-" I got cut off.
"Alrighty then, seems like we've got another Killjoy in the family!" Steven laughed as him and his family walked inside.
"Hey guys, how are you?" I asked them and went over to give the trio a hug.
"Hey sis," "Hi Auntie," "Hey Aribella!" They all greeted me differently, but with a hug.
"I'm going to go change real quick, be right back!" I smiled and ran to my room.
I took a quick shower, blow dried my hair, changed into a red dress, and then straightened and curled the tips of my brunette hair, leaving the rest straightened. I put on some red lipstick and did my mascara, before putting on my black heels and walking back downstairs.
"Oooh, little sis, better go back up there and change!" Steven teased.
Jack laughed, clearly still not getting the joke, but Kate only slapped Steven over the head and chasticed him, while complimenting me on my outfit. I blushed and thanked her, returning back to my work in the kitchen. The turkey was finally ready, and people began arriving. In came Vic's parents, the cousins, the aunts, uncles, friends, and a couple of bands. The place was packed with people, everywhere. Literally, everywhere.
"Dudes, feet off the table! And don't you dare make a Weasley Twin joke about it!" I warned two of the guitarists of Black Veil Brides.
They laughed it off, but still sat properly on the couch seat. I smiled and walked away, towards the door.
"Okay, i'm pretty sure we heard you the first time you rang the be-" I groaned and opened the door, but cut myself mid sentence.
"Guys? What you doing here? Don't you have a concert tonight?" I asked the boys of Sleeping With Sirens.
They laughed and shook their heads, walking inside. I closed the door and walked outside. If they are here, then Pierce The Veil must be here too.
"Vic!" I smiled and ran towards him.
He smiled back and picked me up, twirling me around in the air as a hug. I laughed and he set me back on my feet.
"I've missed you," I smiled and gave him a quick kiss, since I saw the rest of Pierce The Veil walking towards us.
"You guys most definetly made this the best thanksgiving ever!" I told them and gave each of them a big bear hug.
"I feel so honored," Jaime took off his shades, gave me a wink, put them back on, and then walked inside.
I laughed and shook my head, following the boys inside. We ate, we talked, we laughed, and we celebrated. It probably was one of the best thanksgiving ever, and I was glad I got to spend it with my favorite people. Even Nick Martin and Matt Good came to celebrate, which was a bonus since I was a big fan of them. The rest of D.R.U.G.S -Gosh, I still can't believe they broke up. They were one of my favorite bands- couldn't come since they were busy.
