Don't play the song yet!
Izuku POV
"Hm? Of course you can come with me to the party, that would be delightful!" Yagi said while painting a portrait of a fruit bowl.
I've asked Yagi about the party after my conversation with Kacchan, I'm so glad he's okay with the idea. Now for the most part, I don't have anything fancy to swear. I do have some clothes in the trunk, but they're not meant to be party outfits.
"As for your outfit, I'm pretty sure I have some old ones from when I was your age, but I'm pretty sure they're mostly outdated for this time, but I know someone who can seamstress it," he mentioned as he kept his focus on the painting.
"Oh that's okay. Also, would it be okay if I brought along one of my friends with me?" I asked, which made him arch his eyebrow at me and grin. I knew what he was thinking, "It's not what you think! He's the only one available, so he offered to go with me!"
"Okay... if you say so," he said with his mouth closed and the corner of his mouth opened. Rolling my eyes, I headed for the stairs, "Oh! We have to leave before 7, I don't want there to be a line when we get there."
"Good to know," I replied and continued going up the stairs and into my room. I have to say, I'm really excited about tonight. Especially since this'll be the first time I plan the date. I wonder what he's going to wear. Oh, wait a minute. I need to inform him.
My eyes darted around the room, and I spotted a piece of paper as well as a quill with ink in it to write.
It didn't really take me long to write this, so after I finished writing the letter, I folded it up into an airplane and wrote it down to the person that's addressed to it. I hope you get this Rody. I sighed and went up to the bay window and opened it. Prepping myself for the plan to fly, I like my finger and hold it out into the air. Okay... here goes nothing. Letting the paper plane go, it immediately flew away. Humming in satisfaction, I closed and locked the window.
Kacchan stood in front of me, which spooked me in surprise. Still not in a talking mood, I turned away and focused my main attention on what I needed to wear. I stumbled upon some mannequins under the sheets and I found some of them wearing some old clothes.
To be honest, Yagi wasn't wrong when he mentioned they were outdated. Hm... which one, which one will look good on me? Green... no. Rody would call me a fancy green bean if he sees me wearing that. What about black? Nah, too dark. Is this all he has? Maybe there's some in the back.
Carefully stepping over the junk that's covered in sheets, I took one step at a time. In the back, there were a few outfits hung up on a rack. Ooo! A secret stash of clothes? Must be my lucky day! I managed to get in the very back and I took them off the rack one at a time. I went back the same way and I set down the outfits that I found.
Okay, we have a dark royal blue one, that looks promising. I glance at the other options, brown? No thank you. My last option was the dark red rose one. Red! That's my favorite color! My hands reached out for the whole outfit as I held it up into the air and admired it.
Then the sleeves came off and the whole outfit came tumbling down. I slowly looked down at the now ruined red suit and at the sleeves that I still held up in the air. Eh?! No!!! No, no! What've I done?! I ruined the most beautiful outfit that was so good, and is now disheveled to crumples of fabric.
I want to cry so bad right now. "Deku." Still ignoring him. "Deku." He kept calling out my name as I slowly turned over to the other outfit options. Might as well go with the blue one—, "Deku, those outfits are so outdated, it's obvious that you can't wear them."
