Bakugo POV

After entering through the gates, I took in my surroundings. Man, I hate how bright it is up here. Actually, I sometimes forget how bright it actually is. Bakugo, focus! Don't forget what we came here to do.

"Hey!" What now? "Don't go over the requested time or else you'll have to talk to the Gods." That's the last thing I don't wish to have on my mind. Shaking my head, I kept walking around.

Things are still nice as usual. For instance, I saw some guardians passing by looking all happy as always. Then they joined in with another group. Enjoy being a guardian while you still can guys, because it's not going to be easy.

Huh? Oh yeah, when a guardian turns eighteen, they have to pick a certain duty to serve the Gods. Basically all the extras who claim to be my friends, have picked a God or Goddess to serve under. As guardians, once we reach eighteen we would be trained to be the next God in their place.

What? Gods are immortal, and, well, with the Gods they have something like a successor to take their place as the new God. That's why there's been so many different versions of them. They get replaced and their stories are told by the ones who picture what they look like to mortals.

The probability for any of us to be the next God is like one in a billion. Did I have the chance? Yes, in fact. I was going to be chosen as an underling for Ares, but before that happened, Deku's wish came by and that led to a whole other discussion on what I should do.

My guess is that the original Gods either are in a paradise where no one would bother them or took on the form of a mortal that would get reincarnated for eternity. Those are just rumors and the other rumor is if a guardian is chosen, they get to have all the Gods' powers.

Why am I just remembering how this whole process works? I kept thinking about the times back then, I felt something hurled onto my back. Wincing from the impact, I almost tripped and fell as I tried to keep my balance. There's only one person who has the guts to jump like that.

"Pinky... mind telling me why you did that?!" My voice rose as I turned to the person responsible.

"Pfft!" She waved her hand off, "And for your information, it's Mina Ashido! Do I need to do a roll call with the others? Because I'm willing to do that!"

"Hey, hey, hey, Bakubro!" Soy sauce face said to grab my attention away from Pinky. After he called out for my name, Pinky decided to show off by doing a few or so cartwheels that lead to the other extras. I just responded by glaring at them and the others.

"Whoa!" Dumb hair threw his hands in the air, "Looks like something's bugging you. Is something going on back in the mortal world?"

Seeing that they're concerned, my glare deformed to a neutral face. I brought up a small smile to my face, "Hm? Gee, what gave it away?" I asked sarcastically as I stood up straight after being pounced on by Pinky, "Was it the fact that I've been dealing with him like a housewife/bodyguard or is it the fact that I just came to see you guys?"

"Uh... just so you can visit us? I mean, it has been a while—Ow! What the hell, Kirishima?!" Dunce face groaned from the impact that was inflicted by Dumb hair.

"He was being sarcastic," Dumb hair whispered into his ear as Dunce face realized n what I said.

"Wait a minute. Why are you here? Isn't the mortal you're watching over still awake, you shouldn't be here."

"Yeah, well. I need to be away from him for a while, I couldn't handle waiting until he goes to sleep. He rarely sleeps, which makes it so much harder for me to report back to the Gods. He can't take care of himself, it drives me crazy!" I groaned out in frustration as I slumped down on a nearby bench.
