Chapter 3

Just after I sent the document to mystery man, I got a message from Cleo. She was breaking into Hanah's apartment. She even called me before it suddenly ended as someone else was coming in the front door. It just turned out to be Thomas, but he hadn't left yet. She was just letting me know that she was okay and we would talk later.

Jessy was next to message with a news article. I didn't really know what to make of it. She was mad that it was small, that and the front page being about a bike shop. At first Jessy didn't want to get involved in case things went wrong. Understandable, considering what I had already witnessed. Thomas came back to the chat not long after informing us that it wasn't Hannah's body. Which is a good thing, but that left a murder and a kidnapper if they weren't somehow related. Thomas then proceeded to lie to me about where he went after the police station, acting like he was crying and not with Cleo at Hannah's place.

Why lie about something like that?

??? : Hello Raven.

Me : Hello, mystery man

??? : I decided to read in on your little chat with Cleo.

Me : I am not surprised

??? : I am sorry
But after Cleo's phone call was dropped, I was a little worried.

Me : I thought you didn't tap my calls from the group?

??? : I can understand that it's not a good feeling. But I just wish that you see my point of view and realize why I am doing this.

Me : So it matters how I feel to you?

??? : Yes it does.
Why do you ask?

Me : Because... maybe it matters to me that I care what you think about me.

??? : :)

Me : I mean I get it, it was just that you contradicted yourself.

??? : Thank you.
Why do you think Thomas went to the apartment?

Me : Trying to retrieve something, I just don't know why he would do that now.

??? : A fair assumption.
To be honest, I am not so sure myself.
I am sure Cleo is going to give you the whole story though.

Me : About that... Cleo was acting a little weird earlier

??? : You think? I didn't notice anything

Me : It was like she wanted to say something but couldn't because of Thomas.

??? : The fact that you can sense stuff like this is of utmost importance to us.
I find it difficult to read emotions when communicating only by text messages.

Me : I suppose it comes from necessity....

??? : I see.
Normally I don't talk about this flaw of mine.

Me : Normally I don't talk about my predicament, so I feel like we're even.
Not that it's really a flaw if you ask me.

??? : We can talk about this more in detail another time, if you'd like to know more.
There are more important things we need to talk about right now.

Me : Do you feel comfortable visiting the medication again?

??? : Yes.
I would have never thought that she suffered from depression.
But it doesn't change anything for us, just in case you think she could have harmed herself.
That's not even up for debate.

Me : Very well then.
How about we just skip to the find in Hannah's cloud.

??? : You are right, we didn't even talk about the strange note yet.
