Just when Jennie opened the door, her face turned ashen, seeing the man sitting next to Lisa. Her face turned rigid, which did not go unnoticed by Ethan and Lisa. She could feel her disdain directing towards Ethan. Although Lisa doesn't want Jennie to confront Ethan, she to know the truth behind her accident.

''Jennie, come here-''

The door was shut with a loud bang before words came out of Lisa's mouth. Lisa sighed, dropping on the bed.

''She hates me deep down inside,'' Ethan muttered, his head hung low in shame when the memories of that night flashed before him. Jennie's hatred towards him has a reason, and Ethan can't deny it.

''You deserve it.'' Lisa retorted, gazing at nowhere. Jennie rarely hates, and when she does, she hates murderously.

''I know.'' Ethan directed a scathing self-mockery at himself. ''I wish to talk and apologize to Jennie wholeheartedly.'' Lifting his head, Ethan glanced at Lisa, his eyes burning red. ''Can you do me a...forget it..'' Ethan wanted to ask if Lisa can convince Jennie to talk with him, but then again, a question popped into his mind. Why would Lisa help him? After all, they are mortal enemies.

''I would never get salvation in my life. I will take my leave.'' With heavy heart, Ethan got up to leave, and before he opened the door to step out, Lisa's voice reverberated across the walls. ''Wait!''

Ethan turned around in disarray, and the following words Lisa uttered were an utter surprise to his soul.

''I will talk to her.'' Lisa neither showed mercy nor favored Ethan. He can never forget the things he has done to Jennie. He long wanted to tell the truth to Jennie about her accident, but circumstances didnot urge him.

''Are you for real?'' Ethan asked in surprise. He didnot expect his mortal enemy to agree to it.

''But I cannot promise.'' Added Lisa.

''Thank you.'' Ethan genuinely thanked Lisa. His heart still hurts to see his love for someone else, but he accepted the truth that he is not the main lead of Jennie's story. Lisa might be the villain of his story, but he knew what sort of a person he is.

''I am sure Jennie will listen to your words.'' Opening the door, Ethan left, believing he would get a positive reply, if not today, at least someday. He hoped to see Jennie the moment he walked out, but he found no trace of her. He felt sad, but a part of him mocked himself. Why would she stay? She avoids him like the plague.

....

After he got a message from Lisa, Seulgi brought Jennie to Lisa's room after a lot of convincing. He knew Jennie's hatred towards Ethan, and infact, he is also in the same boat, but it's time she learns the actual person behind her accident.

The atmosphere turned distant and cold all of a sudden. Wilbur silently left the room to let them have a conversation.

''Come here, Jennie!'' Lisa ordered. He didnot like her cold and indifferent gaze directed towards him, and to top it, she was sitting far away from him as if he has done the biggest crime.

''I will not repeat it. Will you come, or you want me to come over?''

Jennie's fists tightened over the dress. She didnot like Lisa's commanding tone. If it were some other day, she wouldn't have agreed, but Lisa is a patient, and she doesn't want him to move around. So, she reluctantly got up and walked towards him.

''Why did you close the door shut?'' Lisa asked and yanked her to the bed.

''You know it already.'' She remained aloof, maintaining a distance from Lisa. Is he siding over that man? The humiliation, betrayal, her accident, Jennie cannot forget those memories. ''Are you perhaps thinking of reconciling because he is your cousin?'' Her voice had a mocking edge as she spoke.
