When the least expected person they anticipated appeared in front of them out of the blue, Jisoo's and Nayeon's reaction knocked for six. Jisoo found himself dumb in the sense that his words have stopped flowing. Nayeon was floored when the mocking eyes of the person standing in front of her met her confound eyes.
''Did you tell him?'' Nayeon faintly questioned Jisoo, maintaining a deep hatred towards the person standing in front of her throwing a mocking expression. She hated to admit, his presence would drive her crazy..Scratch that.. everything about him makes her go crazed. The nerve of this man! Nayeon thought.
''Me? Talking with this thorn?'' Unlike Nayeon, Jisoo raised his voice so that his mortal enemy could hear his deep hatred. ''In my garden full of roses, he is the outcast thorn.'' Jisoo was running on sheer anger. Since they live in the same vicinity, Jisoo thought his mortal enemy followed him here. Their deep hatred runs through their bones that they blame their coincidence meetings also as intentional.
''Roses has thorns only for those who would gather it,'' Jeongyeon added in a lazy ridiculing tone and then turned to Nayeon, his grave expression turned soft, watching his sunshine. He knows Nayeon is going on a date from his source, aunt Evelyn. He was happy that at least she is supporting him.
Nayeon would ruin the date without making an appearance, and that was all Jeongyeon needed to prove his sunshine hasn't stopped loving him. But when Jeongyeon heard Nayeon is actually going to meet the person, he was outraged, hurt, all emotions surged, thinking his Nayeon moved on from him. He rushed here to wreck the date even if she throws tantrums seeing his presence but was amused to see Jisoo and Nayeon already on the game. At the least, his mortal enemy has done one good job in his lifetime.
''I am impressed at how good you are in ruining the dates,'' Jeongyeon said, sitting opposite her. ''This proves you haven't stopped loving me.''
''It's not mathematics to prove, donkey fellow.'' Jisoo butted in. His enemy is just like math, and he hates math.
''Wait..Why are you here, monkey fellow?'' Jeongyeon darkly chuckled. ''If you are here, who is scaring away the crows from our country?''
''I am sorry, what language are you speaking? It sounds like poppycock.'' Jisoo's mocking voice echoed into Jeongyeon's ears, causing his frustration to kick in.
''Imagine how effective your insult would be if I give a damn fuck?'' Jeongyeon lifted his finger to Jisoo's face.
''No need for insults, jackass; your face is all enough.'' Jisoo copied Jeongyeon's actions.
There is a saying, never insult an alligator until you cross the river. Even the alligator sets the borders, but Jisoo and Jeongyeon have no lines when it comes to their snubs. It is so intense to the point that they forget the actual purpose, and their concentration solely focuses on wringing their necks.
In between their fights, one thing they did not realize was Nayeon already slipped out of place, tired of seeing their drama since the school days. She wondered if these two will ever mend their relationship, forgetting that incident.
Only when a server arrived and informed they are in public, both cleared their throats and straightened their backs, and started acting like gentleman. In a pause, they looked for Nayeon only to find the chair empty.
''Where did Nayeon go?'' Jeongyeon rose from the seat hurriedly and dashed out of place, cursing himself for missing an opportunity to mend his relationship with Nayeon.
''Now he remembers her? Brainless idiot.'' Jisoo muttered, shaking his head, and through the process, his eyes darted to the people watching him with an expression of despair. Damn it! I slipped my tongue again. It's all because of him. Until Jisoo stepped out of the hotel, he did not lift his head in discomfort when people keep looking at him, even stopping to eat the food.
