With an immediate impact, Yong-sun snatched the laptop and began reading the content inside. Her shock turned dread and then into utter speechlessness. Leius pharma lab is the most reputable industry for its quality, and she can't believe that they are mixing the drugs like Xanan that are dangerous in the long run when consumed.
''How did the drugs pass the criteria of the quality management system?'' Yong-sun addressed Moonbyul. ''The quantity is minor, but it has serious potential which cannot be ignored. It can harm patients. Did any of the other companies raise this threat?''
''No. Unfortunately, the Leius Pharma lab CEO is also the medical advisor for many of the Pharma companies. The loyalty of the others obviously lies with him.'' Moonbyul defined gaze didnot miss the evident jarr in Yong-sun's face. It's not only Landon, but someone from the Government also has a hand behind it, making it a cakewalk for their illegal business.
Yong-sun doesn't want to believe Moonbyul, but she has no reason to deny also. The evidence clearly points to Leius Pharma labs. Is this the reason he changes the subject when she talks about his company matters?
Yong-sun put down the laptop on the bed and glanced at Moonbyul. ''I am going home. Take rest.''
Moonbyul nodded, and as Yong-sun was close to open the door, he called her. ''Yong-sun.''
Yong-sun turned back and looked at him with a slightly curious gaze. Moonbyul wished to tell her to stay away from that criminal, but rather, he kept the thought to himself. ''Good night.'' He said.
''Good night.'' She replied and left with a smile. She reached home and immediately called Landon. As she expected, he didnot pick, and Yong-sun presumed he is in a meeting. Late in the night, she received a call from him. Yong-sun would have ignored him if it were some other day, but she is searching for the answers from him. Sliding the green button, Yong-sun lifted the mobile to her ear and greeted him. ''Hi, Were you busy when I called?''
''Hell lot of meetings, babe,'' Landon said with a tired sigh. ''Are you still awake? It's half-past twelve.''
''I was waiting to talk with you.'' Yong-sun bent her words that would please him. ''We were supposed to go on a date, but it got canceled at the late minute. How about we go this coming Sunday?''
''You seem to be ready, babe.'' He teased, and his intimate way of calling her made her disgusted, but she endured it. ''I will take you to my private island-''
''Why private island? Take me to the place you live.'' Yong-sun suggested.
''Alright, babe.'' He said with a smile. Does she want to do it in my home? It is said done. A little later, Yong-sun gave an excuse and ended the call.
Moonbyul, on the other hand, pulled out the headphones. He felt like a stalker creeping up on the affairs of a couple. Glad he didnot hear any vulgar talks. ''Smart girl! She is making a move already.'' He said and glanced at the giant sleeping like a pig with an opened mouth on the guest bed. ''Weird fellow.'' He muttered and switched off the light, anticipating for the Sunday.
....
Three days passed in a blink, and finally, Sunday has arrived. The first rays of sunlight lit up the room. The chorus of melodic birds drifted into Lisa's ears, causing him to stir. Feeling something heavy on his head, he opened his eyes. Like every other day, he lifted the tiny legs from his face and placed them on the pillow. Her head is down to the south on Jennie's thigh. Along with the cold shoulder, his insomnia also started with Cutie's relentless tossing and turning at nights. ''Seulgi has quite nerves to go for another.''
Lisa got up and went to Jennie's side. ''The first thing I think of when I wake up is you.'' He kissed her forehead and went for a workout.
Three hours later, freshly showered, Cutie was looking radiant in a short-sleeved black dress. She finished her breakfast and started playing with the kitchen set, waiting for Jennie to get ready. Jennie asked if she wanted to go to the amusement park two days back, and Cutie readily agreed.
