Chapter 57 ✨

" Wow , I can't believe that's Zakariyah he definitely got more handsome." Layla said.

" He absolutely did." I said .

" Wow it's crazy how you guys can have a regular conversation without it being akward ." She said .

" I know right , I miss him so much ." I said .

" Same." She replied.

Zakariyah was my best friend since highschool , before I even met Ibrahim . We would tell eachother everything , give eachother advice and do all sorts of activities. However, we had to break up our friendship when I got married to Ibrahim. Supposedly it's not safe to be having guy friends that's not your mahram while married. So for the sake of Ibrahim, we had to stop being friends. I cut off one of my most meaningful relationships for him but what did he do to me . Betray me .

30 mins later, we were getting up to leave and Zakariyah approached us.

" You guys are leaving ?" Zakariyah asked .

" Yeaa , it's kind of getting late." I said

" We're going to wait for you in the car." Layla  said as they left .

" So, how's everything going in your career?" I asked him since he graduated from college 2 years ago .

" Everything is fine so far , alhamdullilah." He answered .

" Your still in school ?" He asked.

" Yes , I'm still in school . You know I have to finish." I replied.

" Yeaa, I mean I wouldn't know though . I don't know anything about your life and it's been like that for the past couple of years." He said .

" Well clearly we have a lot of catching up to do , because l don't know about yours either ." I said .

" Right, so let me have your number." He told me .

" Okay ." I said a bit hesitant .

" Alright, I'll talk to you later . They're waiting for me." I said .

" Bye , Hany." He said .

" Bye , Riyah." I said walking out the door.

I can't believe he still remembers the nickname he gave me .

I got In the passenger seat as I got bombarded with questions .

" To make things simple , we just talked and he asked for my number and I gave it to him ." I said as they all gasped.

" Oh shit , you gave him your number ?!" Layla asked screaming .

" Remember your still married tho." Maryam said .

" I know I'm still married , but he was my best friend before anything . I only stopped talking to him because of Ibrahim." I told her .

" Yea just be careful." Surraiyah said ,
