My Giant Problem

It all started the giants took over. We had to separate completely. Neither of the species we're to mix. With the sudden appearance of the new species, it was clear that they were the dominant over is humans. It's been almost a century since that has happened. We co exist but there is still clear differences between us.

My birth parents had been killed by giants, so close family friends took me in. Nelly and Edward are very nice people,and helped me through the loss. I live in a giant house with a whole room to myself. I love everything from my fluffy pink bed to the gum wrapper that's been there since I was 12.

My name is Ellie. I'm 15 years old and I'm starting at highschool after being homeschooled for so long.

I have short ginger hair, freckles, emerald green eyes and the highest obsession with cinnamon rolls.

I go to a giant school because I'm technically classified as a giant. I was born a human but having an all giant family changes that.

I remember my first day of giant school. I was being help by my parents to the office to enroll me. I felt very socially anxious as I felt all of the giants staring at me. I kept my eyes on the ground, an effort to ingore everything that was happening. I noticed one boy in particular.

He was tall, even for a giant. Fluffy black hair and blue eyes that seemed to piece through my skin. He was gorgeous. He gave me a silly smile and walked away. I felt my face burning. I looked back up and saw we were at the office. "What classes are you interested in?" The woman sitting at the desk asked. "I saw a boy in the hallway" I cautiously asked "With brown hair and blue eyes". She looked horrified and simply said "You don't want classes with him" she said quickly. "But I suppose you have every right to try it out and switch if you like."

"That sounds great! " Says Nelly, my adopted mother.

" I suppose it could work for a bit" Edward , my dad,says slowly.

"Guys I understand your worries" I said to my parents slowly " But I think it would be nice to try and make some friends. "

I was handed a small piece of paper with the layout:

First period- Science
Second- Cooking
Third- Gym

I stopped reading for a minute. I didn't even think about gym. How would I do that? I continued reading

Fourth- History
Fifth- Math
Sixth- Art
Seventh- Reading

'That doesn't sounds so bad' I thought.

"Well!" Nelly said with a huge smile "I guess this means we are going to the store for some back to school shopping!"

Edward gave a sly grin and said "You're absolutely right!"
