"That's rich."
The butterflies in my heart were shut down by hearing the voice of Nathan.
"There's so many people you *can* have and you chose the one you *can't*?"
"Why do you mean? " I asked.
"Why are you his girlfriend?" He asked me, looking furious.
"Why the fuck is it any of your business? Can't you just let us be happy? "
"Do you even like her? Why did you have to choose her?"
This made me think. Why did Jack choose me? I'm basically an average person. There's nothing special about me.
"I'm not listening to what you're saying. If you'll excuse me." Jack picked me up and bumped Nathan in the shoulder.
"J-Jack?"
"Yes?"
"What just happened? Am I your girlfriend now?"
"Let's save this until after our date."
Jack opened his hands to reveal shining red sports car.
"Ready to ride, princess?"
I nodded eagerly, this looked exciting!
Jack pressed a button and the car opened.
Jack looked confused for a moment, wondering where to put me.
Before he could answer, I climbed his torso until I was in his coat pocket.
"Comfy princess?"
"Very."
