The next Monday at school was awkward. I tread to class, but I couldn't even look Jack in the eye. Instead, we texted in Instablam.
SmittenKitten37: Hey, can we talk?
Epicgamerdude97: I guess so... I can't help feeling like I did something wrong tho.
I looked up at him to see him staring at me with a sad look in his eyes. He didn't do anything wrong, but there's no way to explain that to him.
SmittenKitten37: My dad abused me and my mom because he was a drinker, and my mom killed him and herself. My parents are protective of me because they don't know anyone but me.
Epicgamerdude97: I know... I just wish I approached the situation better.
SmittenKitten37: Hang on, my Mom texted me.
Over text:
Mom: Hey, honey how's your day going?
Me: Jack is mad at me. For some reason, going to your girlfriend's house and literally being thrown out makes somebody upset.
Mom: Ask him over for dinner.
Me: What?
Mom: Invite him for dinner. 6pm. We'd like to meet him.
