Mixed up emotions

The hallways were crowded as usual on a start of a new week .But it was more than usual today, something else had cought the students attention. There was a mammoth of a crowd surrounding the notice board. Filled with curiosity Jisoo went to see what was all the commotion about, and once she did she felt the same way as the rest
*Immediately a smile appeared on her once sulking face*
"A fundraising play, auditions today after school in the auditorium"she read to her self and immediately a smile ace.The unknown truth was that Kim Jisoo loved acting and had always dreamed of starting in a play plus it would be a perfect way to distract her from the choas of the past few Days and without a second thought she signed up for the lead female role.

"So you have an interest in the arts I see" a familiar voice took her by surprised
"Oh it's just you jk don't scare me like that "
The lad let out a small chuckle before also signing up for the main male role

"Since your doing it might as well tag along"

"You like acting too?" Jisoo asked dumbfounded by the sudden events

"Not really to be honest I'm just doing it because I heard there's gonna be a kiss scene scene between the leading roles"he joked

"I swear to God Jungkook!"she playfully shoved her elbow into his bicep

"Ow That hurt!!"he pouted

"I don't feel an ounce of guilt" she giggled at his reaction

"Shit shit shit!!!"Jisoo cursed as she dashed through the halls trying to find her way to the auditorium in order to make it in time for the auditions. Maths class seemed to get the best of her makings her dose and lose track of time.

The doors flung open reaviling none other than Kim Jisoo. She made her way to join her friend as she deparately gasped for air.

"You're lucky you made it in time you're up next you know that" the boy was relived that she had finally showed up after an hour of anxiously waiting
"Well I'm here no-" she ran out of words as soon as her eyes landed on the stage where she saw a familiar figure resisting the lines with so much emotion written on his face you would think he was actually undergoing the scenarios. Just then there eyes met and she quickly looked away avoiding his gaze for she knew she would get lost in his deep brown orbs

"W-whats Tae doing here ,is he auditioning?"

"No he's taking a dog for a walk jisoo"Jungkook replied rather annoyed
Just when taehyung left the stage Jisoo's name was called out for her turn she strided onto the stage clutching on her script as she looked into the audience and saw Jungkook giving her a thumbs up trying to encourage her while tae looked at her attentively Wich made her situation way worse.

"Whenever you're ready Miss Kim" the teacher announced

"Calm down Jisoo you got this "

The Kim household was as silent as a graveyard only the audible screams belonging to Kim Jisoo could be heard it had become a usual routine for her nowadays
"So much for distraction out of all people of course it had to be him it's official the universe hates me!" She threw her pillow to the other side of the room waking up her house pet dalgom who was peacefully napping

"Sorry dalgomie my stupid little breakouts scared you" her voice softened as she went to collect the terrified animal.

"I'm still trying to figure out why the universe hates me " she lay on the bed lost in thought as her eyes landed on her bedroom wall Wich had the word "fate" painted on it in bold form.

"Ugh, the universe does hate me"jisoo whined as she covered her head in the sheets

Once again students excitement could be heard two miles away as the roles for the upcoming play had been plastered on the notice board in the school halway. The pair who recently auditioned made their way through the crowd of pupils as they crossed their fingers hoping that they both got the lead roles.

"Soo I'm I dreaming or are those our names on the notice board"

Hearing her friends statement the fear she had was overcome with courage as she slightly opened her eyes only to see Jungkook's statement is correct

"Wow I guess we got the lead roles"jisoo said in amusement

"We should celebrate don't u think?" He asked with hope in his eyes making the girls chuckle
"Sure jk anything you want"

She couldn't lie to herself that she kinda hoped taehyung would get the part, Of course she was happy for her friends achievement,but she wishes that it would be the opportunity to gain back his trust.

Suddenly something cought her attention as she closely looked at the names on the list. Taehyung got the second lead role in their play.
She dint know whether to sigh in relief or cry in despair but all her thoughts rushed away when Jungkook suddenly grabbed her hand and lead her to the nearest restaurant

***school cafeteria****

"Is it me or have we barely seen kook and chu these past few days"Lisa asked as she took a sip out of her juice box

"Come to think of it Lisa is right I wonder what they could have been doing"Jimin agreed

"Don't you think they've become closer ever since new years?"Hobi asked

"I mean I can't even deny it me and tae saw them once when we were taking a walk together"Jennie joined the conversation

"Are they you know a couple?"namjoon asked making taehyung choke on his dumpling earning stares from the rest.

"Speaking of Wich they both got leading roles in the upcoming play!"Chaeyoung commented

"Hey tae also got a role too you know and you guys haven't even congratulated him " Jennie took to her boyfriends side

"Wow I never thought tae was into acting" yoongi said with an amused look on his face

"I heard he auditioned for the lead role just to act with jisoo but kook beat him to it"Jimin teased making Jennie glare at him

"Will you stop it with your fifth grade humor it's not funny!"

He was about to spit back when taehyung suddenly got up from his seat
"I'm going to get some air" he calmly said before heading out

"What's up with him ?" Yoongi murmured.

Taehyung shoved his headphones over his head as he took a short walk .
He was still shocked that Jimin was able to read through him like a piece of paper in order to not get cought of soon he immediately left the room.He took deep breaths as he listened to relaxing music to calm his nerves.
The events of yesterday flooding back to him

Flashback
Taehyung had just gotten back from football practice when he was greeted with the site he longed for the most.
There stood Kim Jisoo lost in thought while keenly looking at the notice bored.Even among the crowd she was the only one that cought his attention.
The urge he had to go up to her and patch things up was strong indeed,even though he was not the one she loved he didn't want to loose her as a friend. He got up slowly heading to talk to her as he was immediately inturapted by Jungkook who went up to her. It wouldn't be the first time that he envied him as they watched them casually talking and how he was able to make her laugh, he missed the times when that used to be him. Immediately when they left he took his chance and went up to sign up for the auditions. He was not a theater person at all but he took his chance hoping that it would be an opportunity to patch things up with her.

He sighed remembering how disappointed he was to learn that he dint get the lead but second role, it was like a smack in the face reminding him that he would always be Jisoo's second option ........... He hated it for sure.
Just as he was about to head back to school he heard a familiar voice, the voice that would always put a smile on his face. There he saw jisoo laughing with a chicken leg in her hand, the person behind that laughter was none other than his good friend Jungkook......It ruined his whole mood
