In The Light// Station 19 x Reader

𝙄 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙖𝙧

After a Hectic call all that the members of 19 wanted to do was shower and sleep, they all took turns to shower seeing as there we're only so many showers. Jack and y/n were in the kitchen not having gotten a chance to shower yet, y/n sat on the counter gulping down water as Jack stood in between her legs looking at her with solemn eyes seeing as she lost an 4 year old on the call they had just gotten back from although ahe was used to this stuff happening it still hurt. In walked Maya towel wrapped in her hair, spotting her, Jack backed away allowing y/n to go shower next.

She gave him a peck before heading to the showers and standing under the hot water, her face immediately turned into a smile as she washed the dirt off her face. The warm water ran down her body as she massaged the conditioner into her hair, she was loving the water but she knew she couldn't say in for too long because others still needed to shower

When she finished Jack was still in the shower next to her so she changed and went to the quietest room in the station at the moment. Nobody else was in the room nor the kitchen it was connected to. She sat on the couch across from the two chairs that she stared at for a hot minute her eyes heavy from tiredness, she then turned to look out the window before her legs came up to and rest against her chest as she pulled them up and held them there.

"How are you doing" Jacks voice came from the doorway making her face him again with a sleepy smile

"Surprisingly better" she smiled softly, As he walked over to her she moved her body to lay on the couch

"I'm glad" he smiled back before he went and layed between her legs

He placed a kiss on her forehead and then lips before he layed his head against her chest pulling her close to him, she smiled as she played with his hair and closed her eyes sleepiness taking over. Her eyes opened immediately at the sound that interrupted the silence

"Physical rescue. Motor vehicle into a business at 4397 Northeast Sequoia Avenue. All 19 units respond."

They got up slowly at first before quickly  running around and getting dressed as quickly as possible as the klaxons went off

Two weeks ago

"Taste." Jack held the spoon to y/n's mouth

"Ooh, that's good." She smiled at him

"Yeah, spicy and sweet..." He fist pumped the air "...like you"

"Ew." She chuckled at him

"Oh, you think you're salty." He smiled at her making more jokes as he had before

"I think we shouldn't compare me
to your Bolognese." She shook her head

"Okay, uh, maybe we could get" Miller clared his throat "some more cooking and a little less of... of that."

"Oh shush, you love us killer" y/n faced him with a smile

"I love you guys" he nodded before gesturing to how close their bodies were to each other b"but not all of.... That"

"I told you." Maya looked at him "I told him."

"You did tell him." Andy nodded

"I remember." Travis agreed

"Okay, so, 'I told you so'?" Miller asked  "That's the comfort you guys have to offer me?"

"Well, if it makes you feel any better, you're not alone." Maya looked at him "Nikki leaves a trail of broken hearts in her wake wherever she goes."
