Y/n looked over to see the seat next to Miller was empty "Where's jack"
"He's been gone for a while" Vic laughed as she watched y/n stand up a bad feeling pooling in her gut
She followed after Vasquez he turned at her
"You following me"
"Believe it or not I'm looking for my b-friend"
He just rolled his eyes and continued walking, the girl continued on looking around. She just wanted to make sure he was okay, she walked past cars discretely but froze when she looked into a car from afar spotting a girl in a car with jack who was basically hiding from someone outside. That's when it hit her it was Rigo's wife, she froze not knowing what to do.
That was until her phone rang she picked it up and put it to her ear "Andy?"
A sniffle came from the other side of the phone before she answered "It's Ryan"

Y/n sat in her room staring at the dress on her bed next to her, if she had been told that she would loose her brother this early on in her life she would have told you that you were in fact crazy. She was so focused on not crying that she didn't even look up when her bedroom door opened revealing jack
"Babe" that was a first coming out of his mouth "y/n"
Her gaze moved up to see him, on any other day she would be angry after what had happened but great was all she could feel at the moment
"You need to get dressed" his voice was quiet
"I know" y/n's voice was hoarse from crying "I just can't get myself too"
Without words he stepped closer to the girl, she was just in her bra and shorts, she would have told him to go but he has seen her in even less before. He picked the dress up off the bed and mentioned for her to put her arms up so that he could put the dress over her and she allowed him to. The dress slid down her body as she stood up, he brushed her hair over her shoulder so he could zip it up. The bedroom door next to hers shut meaning that Travis was leaving his, he opened her bedroom door and saw jack standing there
"Get the hell out"
"Tra-" he tried
"No leave, I am not happy with you right now" Travis's voice echoed off the walls
Jack pecked y/n's forehead and left confused, he didn't know that y/n saw him and Rigo's wife but neither did Travis. All Travis knew was about the break up and that was enough for him, he wanted today to be as easy for her as possible.
Travis looked to see y/n trying to put her shoe on but it wouldn't unzip in the back, she let out an aggravated sigh as she pulled down on the zipper. She looked up at him and his heart almost broke at the sight of her, tears were streaming down her face and she looked at him helpless. He walked over and picked up the shoe helping her unzip them then put them on carefully. She smiled at him through the tears before wiping her face and standing up
"You ready" Travis questioned grabbing onto her hand, she nodded and with that they headed out the door

"We're here to celebrate the life of Ryan Michael Tanner, to honor his sacrifice. A police officer's job can give us so much..." The man's voice drifted off as y/n looked down at her feet, that was until it was her turn to speak
"It seems like almost everyone here knew my brother as Ryan the police officer. But when I think of my brother that was just a small piece of who he was. I think of the brother who would protect me no matter what, even if from a spider I was beyond terrified of-" she sniffed trying to keep the tears back "-He was a great brother, He basically raised me to be who I am today-" a tear slipped down her face "-Ryan was an amazing person and I never got to tell him enough-" she was practically sobbing now "I wish I could talk to him one last time to make sure he knew how much he impacted my life and truly pushed me to get what I wanted in life. Without him I wouldn't have the job I have now and with that came all of my great friends. I owe it all to him-" she stopped herself and wiped her eyes "-I'm sorry- I just- I can't "
