could you do a nat x reader fic where they have been dating for a couple of years and the reader is planning to propose to nat so she's become distant, not intentionally, but like cuz she's trying to plan everything and nat's been worried cuz its been going on for weeks and after a while, she assumes she's cheating on her and breaks up with her on the spot without letting reader explain. and the reader writes nat a letter and leaves it in her nightstand, along with the ring she got for her, of their once shared bedroom when she knows that nats not there the next day. and from then they avoid each other for months and reader spent most of her time in her room until one day nat decides to clean her nightstand and finds the letter and reads it and is like oh shit and then she sees the ring and then yea

"Can I see that one please?" You pointed to the ring that looked quite simple but yet had the most perfect features which reminded you of the Black Widow's beauty.

The woman nodded as she reached for the ring, it has been months since you tried to pick out a ring, you wanted it to represent Natasha in every way possible.

You wanted it to be the most perfect moment ever, you had everything planned but just that ring was the only thing left, you had everything prepared, the rented restaurant to the little place in Natasha's favourite park rented out so no one could interrupt the perfect moment.

It has been months since you thought of this idea and finally after multiple missions later, you managed to save up enough to finalise this.

You were happy with everything but what you failed to notice was the distance that you were creating between you and the redhead, it wasn't intentional, not at all, you were just so nervous and excited that you just didn't want her to find out.

You knew how easy for her to find out everything so you made sure to do everything on Wanda's and Carol's phone, they were ecstatic when you told them your plan and were more than happy to help with anything.

They helped you pick the restaurant and even helped to walk you through your nerves for this, there were moments of doubts that they reminded you that this woman loved you and she would never say no to you proposing.

As the woman handed you the ring, you smiled and nodded "Yes this is perfect"

The woman smiled back and nodded "I'm glad you finally found something"

You laughed "Yeah, she will be so happy about it"

But was she?

After a long day, Natasha was looking forward to seeing your face, it was her highlight of her day after missions or reports that she had to walk through with one of the shield members.

She was looking all over for you but you were no one to be found, until she walked into her room, that you were there. She smiled widely as she walked to just hug you but your reaction confused her.

Instead of hugging her back, you jumped up and locked your phone so quickly that she wasn't able to see what was displaying on there, she frowned "Are you okay?"

You nodded stiffly "Uh. Yeah of course"

That's when you shoved your phone into your pocket and gave her a quick hug before pulling away with a small smile which was really weird, she tried not to think about it too much but how could she not?

It has happened a few times before and the fact that you weren't talking to her about it, made her even more nervous, the constant lack of your presence made her upset and she really wanted to know what was wrong.
