Part 28

>third POV <

"mama?" Y/N whispered softly, stopping her from jumping over the window at the sound of a familiar woman's voice. Her eyes widen as she freezes. "I-i-wha-w" she stutters to herself as she glances at the building where Jinx was waiting for her and back to the door where the voice of her mother was coming from. She didn't know what to do. She hadn't seen her mother in years as the woman worked all over Piltover. Jinx was waiting patiently but also nervously for her lover to come so they could leave together. She wondered where Y/n was for so long. 

Y/n heart was racing but when she heard the voices coming closer to her room she panicked and jumped back in, throwing and kicking her backpack under her bed just in time when her mother busted into her room. "Y/N! DARLING" the woman yelled as she reached her arms out to hug her daughter whom she hadn't seen in a long time. "Mama?! what are you doing here?" Y/N voice trembled a bit as she returned the hug. "I missed you so much baby" the woman said as she moved away to grab her daughter's cheeks. Her dad was right at the door looking at the scene before him. He didn't look too pleased by the woman's return. "I came back to see you for a little while. I wanted to see how my baby grew up. You don't seem to have grown much though. Are you eating enough?" the woman gave a worried look to her child. "I am mom. But why did you come back? after 6 years?" "I would have come sooner if my work let me. Piltover is such a hectic town you wouldn't believe it. But now that I have finally opened my clinic I have more free time to visit" Y/N eyes shined "Really?!" "Yes! i have finally got my life together, if you decide, you and your dad can now move in with me" Y/n was flabbergasted at the offer. Leaving Zaun for Piltover? town of progress and opportunities? opportunities she could never get here at Zaun where the air was so thick you could bearly breathe sometimes. 

"I-i i don't know what to say" Y/n finally breaths out "Just say yes darling, I'm sure your dad would agree that you move from this place" Y/n glances behind at her opened window. What about Jinx? "ill think about it" her dad also notices the opened window and grew suspicious "Why is your window opened?" "just getting the fresh air in" she lied again. Her dad moved to her window "you weren't planning to leave somewhere were you?" her dad said grabbing the window "No why would I leave?" Y/n said not realizing that her lover was right beside the window listening to their conversation right before her dad closed it. 

Jinx was conflicted, hurt, angry and frustrated. She frowns her eyebrows and scrunches her nose in anger while leaning on the wall. Y/n lied to her, well at least Jinx took it that way. She told her she doesn't have a mother, not that she was in Piltover or that she was half Piltie. She disappeared from the spot beside the window to sulk in her frustration. "No, she was planning to leave with ME!! It's a misunderstanding!!" "We both know that's not true" Mylo whispered behind her. Jinx talked to herself in some ally. She punched the wall trying to let her anger out but it didn't work, only brought more pain to her knuckles. But she didn't care, she punched and punched again, rather feeling the pain somewhere else than her head or heart. "Shes a Piltie. She lied." "Telling how she hates them but also being a part of them"  Jinx stopped punching the wall and turned to her head instead. "shut up shut up shut up!" she pulls her hair messing up her braids as she leans on the wall and crumbles down. "It's not true" she whispered as she broke into soft sobs in the dark ally of Zaun. 

Y/n on the other hand was worried for Jinx. She was waiting for her and she didn't turn up. She felt guilty and guilt was showing on her face. She didn't care that her mother was back. What difference does it make? she wasn't here for 6 years she sure as hell doesn't need her now. The family sat in silence at the table as they all eat except for Y/n who was deep in thought. 

"so Y/n tell me" Y/n gaze snapped to her mother who was chewing some food before pointing her fork at y/n. "you got a boyfriend?" the question was out of nowhere. Y/n dad choked on his food. M/n looked at him confused, d/N looked at y/n as he collected himself, waiting as to what she was going to say. "girlfriend actually" Y/n says as-a-matter-of-factly "oh.." her mother was taken back by this as she blinks surprised. "ahh young flings, I also had a few of those" the woman says daydreaming a bit "it's not a fling mom" y/n sighs frustrated. "Well? who is she?" that is when the dad in "Zaun's criminal" "dad!" y/n hand slapped the table lightly. "Criminal?" "yeah, second most famous at that" y/n opened her mouth to say something back but stopped herself immediately since it is the truth. "Most famous? have I heard of her?" "probably, she is Silcos daughter," the dad says and mom gets up pushing her chair and slamming her hands on the table. "YOU ARE DATING SILCOS DAUGHTER? Silco the 'Industrialist'!" she yelles out. Y/n winces at her mother's raised voice. "Don't need to yell mom, I hear you just fine" the woman collects herself and sits back down. "Her names Jinx. And we have been together for half a year....until dad separated us" Y/n mumbled the last part but still so that everybody heard her. 

"Y/N!" dad said mad at the comment "why did you separate them" "it was an unlucky situation!" "Unlucky?!! you call kidnapping an unlucky situation!!?" the father and daughter fought. "You got kidnapped!?" the mother butted in. "She got kidnapped BECAUSE she was dating Jinx! They tried to use her as bait!" "Holy shit! are you ok?!" "it happened two months ago!! don't you think it's a little too late to ask!?" they yelled at each other until there was silence. 

The mother lets out a deep sigh "i guess you got the part of 'dating criminals' from me" Y/n just looks to the side. "But seriously? how did you get yourself kidnapped? I know you are capable of protecting yourself. I have seen you fight before" "They got behind my back. They tried to use me to take Jinx and that way get to Silco. Didn't work though. Jinx beat their ass" Y/n said proudly as she bragged about her awesome strong girlfriend. "If I wasn't there you would both get killed," dad said but Y/n brushed him off with a 'pff' sound "if your girlfriend is so awesome how come she didn't protect you FROM kidnapping in the first place?" "they got behind my back when she left, plus we were both partly drunk" and high in ecstasy from their moment in the public toilet but she couldn't tell that to her parents. 

Her mother lets a humm. Y/n continues to complain as she picks at her food "and now both dad and Silco separated us. Apparently 'we are not good for each other'" she said mocking them with their voices. "Watch it Y/n" her da threatens "or what? you already don't let us see each other" m/n clears her voice to get their both attention "don't you think separating is a bit, extreme honey?" D/n looked back at his food not looking at the woman. "It's not up to me anymore if they see each other or not. Silco is not someone to be messed with. What he says goes or someone gets hurt." y/N crosses her arms over her chest leaning back in her chair angry "Jinx would never let Silco hurt me" "I don't trust  Silco OR Jinx. End of story" y/n grunts. "D/n maybe they could see each other without Silco knowing?" Y/n snickers in herself as they have already been doing that. "And risk her getting hurt? no" "if Y/n trusts Jinx enough to protect her from Silco then so do i" "And what about protecting her from people who want to get to her?" mother looked at Y/n who was looking at her with a hopeful expression "guess you'll have to train her a bit more than. So it doesn't happen again. She clearly wasn't ready before. Shell have to learn to be ready" Y/n breaths in happily as she smiles at her mother, but then she realizes and says grinning "you really are a hopeless romantic mom" the woman leans on her palms "always was, always will be. That's why a married your father. I can't stand the two young people in love separated" the man slaps his forehead as he lost the battle too his daughter and wife. 

"Fine we start training tomorrow morning," he says getting from the table at taking his plate. The mother and daughter giggled to themselves. But y/n couldn't wait to tell Jinx the good news. "I have to go tell her!" y/n announced bouncing with happiness and excitement. Her mother smiled at her daughter "ahh young love". 

Y/n grabbed the phone that Jinx made specifically for the two and texted. 

"We need to talk as soon as possible" but Jinx wouldnt respond for the next few days, making y/n extremely worried and leaving her with the feeling of helplessness. 

Mom to the rescue. But still, y/n will probably leave for a better life at Piltover. Right?
