"So where is this little girlfriend of yours? when am I going to meet her?" my mother insisted "I don't know mom" was all I said to her. I didn't really want to talk to my mom. But she was persistent. She acted like she never left me, left us. "did you get in a fight? You haven't seen her in a while right?" I tried to ignore her. "I don't know mom, I don't want to talk about it" I tried to leave the room but she went after me. "Have you thought about Pitlover? And leaving this place?" that was when I snapped at her. I turned around "MOM please leave me alone!! I don't want to talk about it. I don't want to talk to you!" she was taken by surprise by me snapping at her. "What's with the tone? I'm only asking" "well stop asking. And stop pretending like you never abandoned me. You can't leave for 6 years and then act like you were here all the time." she was silent for a moment. 

"I never left you. You know that. I was only trying to create a life for you and our family" she crosses her arms over her chest while frowning at me. She looked offended. "I don't care, you left. You left and not once did you visit or call. Dad and I had to survive here, while you were up there running around with Pilties. Do you think it was easy? Enforces are up our ass here all the time and we had to fight them off as best as we could. They are the reason life here is awful, Pilties are the reason we suffer. I suffered, dad suffered and Jinx suffered too!!! I have to watch her suffer from the trauma that YOUR people caused!!" I yelled at her and she took a step back but when she realized what I was saying she realized that she was a 'parent'. 

"Do not talk to me like that young lady! My people? they are your people too!!" "No, they are not. They did nothing for me! They only made us suffer. Dad had to go into the crime lord scene by force just so we could stay alive. He works for Silco not out of his own will! but because he was forced and everything he did was to protect me. Where were you? Where were you when Silco threatened him? where were you when we had to fight of enforces because they wanted to shoot us down?" the look of guilt was all over her face. She didn't know what to say so I continued "where were you when I had MY troubles?! when I learned to fight and shoot? when I had boy troubles. When I had my first period and I thought I was dying? My birthdays? you forgot about those right? Where were you when dad went to make and deal with Silco and I had to protect dad by having an aim at Silcos head? Where were you when I met Jinx? When I had relationship troubles? When I got kidnapped?!" "Y/n i-i am so--" 

"don't give me that bullshit! I'm not leaving Zaun. I'm not leaving Jinx. If dad isn't leaving neither am I and he probably won't because of the target that is always aimed at his head because of Silcos people. j-just leave me alone" I didn't realize my voice slowly cracking. My mother looked stunned. She had nothing to say because I was right. She just wasn't here. "Just because I'm half Piltie doesn't mean I'm one of them" and with that, I left to look for Jinx. I finally got that off my chest. I wanted to say all those things the first time she walked into my room, but I was so taken back I just didn't know what to say to her. Jinx didn't answer me for three days and I don't even know where to look for her. She could be anywhere. She could have run away without me. But she wouldn't do that. We made a promise to stick together. 

I put on the coat that was long and had a hoodie so I could cover my face. I know what I was doing was reckless and that I'm walking into a wolf dan, but I didn't know what else to do. I make my way down to The Last Drop. It was risky and I was scared. My heart was pumping out of my chest. I searched for the dark-skinned woman. I didn't know who to ask for help. And she may know where Jinx is. People were giving me looks. It's the attention that I don't need right. If Silco finds out I'm here I'm done for.  

"Sevika where the fuck are you" I said looking around. I walk up to the poker table that she was usually in. That's when I finally spot her. She was playing cards like usual when she didn't have to work. I walk slowly up to her.
